Hey all.
I tend to swap out cars a lot.
Previously had a super fancy pants 15th anniversary edition tt, which is a nice way of saying a 97. Found a fondness for track racing over drag which I felt the targa equipped A80 was a bit floppy for, and sold and bought an '00 Integra Type-R. Have...
Nice, I definitely feel like I made a mistake. If that's the case, had I gotten a hardtop i'd probably still have it today. When I was younger, I cared about straight line and looking cool, hence wanting to be able to pop the top off. As I got older and more into track racing over just straight...
I dunno, my A80 sans roof was about as stiff as a bowl of mashed potatoes. Putting the top back in stiffened it up to approximately a wet noodle, haha. Definitely amazing as a straight line car. Never had the pleasure of driving a hard top aggressively though so maybe that's much different...
maybe a bad comparison, as I hated my 991 (and still have bad flashbacks from time to time about it) with an unholy, seething passion, lol.
It's not the specs that tell the whole story, yes, but for a halo car that wears a supra badge, that price point with those specs are ludicrous
it's pretty well known in the nissan scene that the nismo is an abysmal buy. it's virutally all cosmetic, bit of aero, and an exhaust for nearly 20k over base. Still, double the base price of a car in it's competitive class is amazingly bad for a halo car.
End point remains, even if it's 350 @...
so,
A90:
340HP, 3100 lbs, 255/35/19 F and 275/35/19 R tires
370Z:
332HP, 3,232 lbs, 245/35/19 F and 275/35/19 R tires
If these numbers are right, and the rumored 60k price point is right, we'll have something near identical in spec and absolutely in the same class as a 370Z, for twice the...
The fact that he didn't deny it and says something as vague as "I'd like to see something like that eventually" doesn't confirm at all that one is ever going to be produced unfortunately.
Though the part that stuck out to me was "Each company defined what we wanted and went from there. Both...
