I think they had BMW make a fast revving I6 and to keep up with that a fast shifting auto like in the 86, which is very nice and quick but not up to the power handling of the I6, that would be mated maybe to an LFA type trans they called the "automated manual". Time will tell and anything said...
Okay, based on Eastern time Geneva is 6 hours ahead. The release time is Tuesday March 6th 3:45am Eastern which is 9:45 am Geneva time. Add or subtract your time zone accordingly from Eastern time.
I may be wrong but the concept is the race version of the upcoming Supra so based on what it looks like we can get an idea what the actual production Supra will look like. Is that the idea?
Toyota holds the design patents. I'm speculating that Toyota is using the 86 platform as their entry level sport car. Then later that 86 buyer will move up to the Supra. It's all in the marketing schema. When the 86 was being designed Tada San always wanted the 86 as a bare bones NA sports car...
