I was referring to the new gen Nissan Z, which has no official specs released yet. I've owned a RCF-great car, except for the acceleration lag, occurring sporadically when the accelerator is floored.
Interesting, I found the RCF to be easy to slide around around in S+, and the brakes are good. Like Pobst said, while running hot laps in the RCF: "a monkey could drive this thing". The only thing Toyota/Lexus late model vehicles do that catches me off guard sometimes is when the "pre-collision"...
Yep...Porsche are proud of their boxer 6s...BTW, my cars have spanned a fairly large price differential, and to me, more expense and power doesn't always equal more fun. ;)
That's interesting, the 240 and 280 were very close in appearance...the 280Z got different bumpers, more displacement, and a bullitproof Bosch fuel injection system. They were also easier to find used by the early 80s. Was is the bigger bumpers? The 280ZX was an extensive redesign, and heavier...
Interesting to hear others' selection process. I think one thing that drew me to the MKV is that I see some similarities between it and the '78 280Z I drove through college-both the profile of the car, and the inline 6. Reliability is a high priority to me, and the Z survived years of hard...
I would't say I'm "tortured"...more like grateful to be able to afford a toy like this, at a time when so many awesome cars are available, with more on the horizon. I can enjoy my car, while also enjoying all the interesting developments and options in the auto industry. ;)
Toyota has announced a 2nd gen 86 is in the works, likely built on a Toyota platform, with a Subaru 2.4L turbo boxer. No specs released from Toyota yet, but it is happening. I loved my FRS. Sounded great with a Nameless cat back, and had a smooth shifting MT that felt even better with a weighted...
I've never owned a Vette, thought I did take a close look at the C7, and have driven one. What GM has done with this redesign, at this price point, is a new industry benchmark that has competitors on their heels, like it or not. The video below, where Leno interviews the head of the C8 design...
What cars did you compare while considering the new Supra? Will your eye wander, with the new turbo 86, New Nissan Z, 194 mph C8 Corvette starting at $60K, or the new Mustang GT500? Then there's the Porshe Cayman and Boxster...We know that, generally, these marks have traditionally attracted...
Castor doesn't solve the the problem of the feeling the occupants have of being canted at an angle. That, and the fact that having your seat tilted down to one side for extended drive times would get uncomfortable, is why raising the ride height slightly on the right side of the car is the...
Vehicle suspensions are set up to compensate for road crown. That keeps the car tracking straighter, and feeling level, since the road is typically higher on the the left than on the right, so that water drains off. I recall one internet genius coined the "The Tacoma Lean" on a forum.....simple...
The likelihood of getting 2 bad batteries in a row is astronomically low. It is far more likely that that they never replaced the battery and didn't charge it properly, charged it and it is defective, or you have a parasitic draw condition that needs repair (most likely). It seems very likely...
I must have caught the Porsche dealer at a really bad time. I had a 2018 911 with a possessed head unit. I made at least 4 calls-told to call the parts dept. (?), put on hold forever...and still never got a live person on the phone to explain the problem to. I couldn't believe what was happening...
I've been driving Toyota/Lexus vehicles for 40+ years, and don't know of any maker that rivals their warranty service. Sounds like the Austin dealer may be lazy...could be an extra hoop since it's a bimmer, but that shouldn't matter. Do what you have to to help them decide to do the right thing...
