they look really good and you can’t tell it’s decals unless you’re right next to wheels. They hold up real well if you use a heat gun. I’ve used a similar product on two tone wheels in the past. They’ll last till you need new tires since the tire machine is gonna damage the vinyl.
The price is pretty good for the decal kit, it is cut pretty accurate. The application process is a little tedious, took about 2 hrs for all wheels. It’s gonna be easier if you’ve used a heat gun and applied vinyl before. It’s easy to mess it up with wrinkles but they do give you extra pieces.
Didn’t like the two tone wheels but do like the wheel design. I decided to use the black vinyl decals to cover the chrome to make sure I like all black wheels on the white car. I do like the all black so will be powder coating when it’s time for new tires since they are going to damage the...
I’ve had the rt660 265-35-19 295-35-19 on the car the last two days breaking the rubber in for my Ax event this Sunday. I’ve driven aggressively to test the setup and no issues or rub. This is on stock wheels and springs and no spacers. I’ll report back on original post linked above after event...
I’m going to give this setup a go on The 27th at my first Ax event in the car and go from there. The super sports I run 37-38 hot on the street aggressively and I wear right on the edge marks. I’ll be swapping to my other wheel set with rt660 265/295-35 for Ax. The setup looks to be a bit pushy...
That blew my mind. Never seriously concidered it but always been a fan. When I saw how ugly the new gen was my first thought was they are trying to kill interest in the wrx so they can kill the model. Now makes me think that even more.
So I like to keep mods to a minimum so usually modify for scca street class so front bar, shocks on previous corvettes, max width 200tw tires, alignment, brakes. A bigger front bar definitely decreased the oversteer obviously by creating understeer but has anyone else felt it was too much. My...
I though about it but I think I prefer bolts to lugs. I’ve had both types through the years and I’ve broken several lugs nuts but never had an issue with the bolts.
I found what I was looking for. I shouldn’t have searched specifically for the Supra. They are called wheel hanger lug bolt guide tool if anyone else was wondering.
these should work well for 9 bucks
I saw a wheel spacer video that mentioned a guide bolt was included with spacers to help line up the spacers and holes. I thought that would have made mounting much faster and easier but the spacers I bought don’t come with a guide bolt. I will probably be swapping wheels about every 1-2 months...
Since I was more concerned with the front rubbing under hard cornering, I went with 265/295-35-19 rt660 and maybe it might be the better choice for these stock wheels. Rt660 265/295 is 9.8/10.6 tread width and the diameter difference is also pretty close to stock. A little big for the stock 9/10...
New car, first post. Been running larger re71, rt660 on previous C6 corvette for the last couple years but new to the mk5 Supra platform. I wanted to run 275/295 rt660 on the factory wheels, they are about the size of the average 285/305. Anyone running this setup and I’m hoping to hear no...
