Update on the spoiler. I had a local shop do it and ended up leaving it for 3 days to fully cure the tape. Drove it a few times and then put a package in the trunk and the whole thing quivered and was loose when I closed the trunk. $150 for install and Uber there and back. Not...
Summer tires shouldn't really be used below about 40 degrees. Depends on the specific tire compound of course. The compound hardens at lower temperatures and reduces stopping distances even on dry cold pavement (think driving on a hockey puck). You can also do damage to the integrity of the...
Sacrilege! I've squeezed in my bike, two cars and the riding mower. I have to shuffle everything around to drive/ride anything but it all fits. Next house needs a 3 car garage at minimum I'm thinking. :) Or maybe a big shed.
Warm weather it's usually 2-3 days BMW R9T, 1 Day 2016 Focus hatch, 1-2 Days Supra.
Cold weather will be the Focus, 2006 Honda Odyssey (my cargo van and trailer hauler) and on days above 50 degrees the R9T or Supra.
In the past I've only had one vehicle so I've had to get snow tires/rims but...
Google MSF course and you should be able to find one in your area. 25 years ago when I learned it was done right at the DMV. They have a bike for you to learn on and at the end you take your test on that same bike. It’s the best way to do it. Then you just practice. The hardest part I think is...
I searched and didn't see a thread for this. I know a number of Supra owners also have bikes as I've seen them mentioned. Well lets see them.
I have a 2017 BMW R NineT with a few mods and several bigger mods on the way. It's a bit sad but just a catback for the Supra is about what I've spent...
It's never a question of need; we don't need power windows, memory seats, wireless carplay, lane keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, BSW, etc. I'd like to have a warm steering wheel instead of wearing thick gloves. Of course I probably won't really drive the Supra when it's too cold but it...
Couple of things I'd like to see added would be heated steering wheel and vented seats. Manual would be nice and I think it will eventually happen but doubt it for 2022 MY.
It did feel a little slower since it's a metal frame, yep should have done CF and put a few stickers on it easily +15hp.
Tint went pretty good I should have snapped a picture before I left but I was running late. Now it's tucked in the garage for the next 3-5 days as I don't want mess up the...
Huge install today!!!
Window tint goes on today so I'll post that later or tomorrow and windshield tint goes on next week but nothing can compare to that license plate frame, makes the car TBH.
Well failed miserably on the spoiler install I must not have gotten the tape close enough to the edge and it didn’t stick at all.
I’ll have to get more tape and try again.
mirror caps were much easier.
Watched a video that used masking tape at left/middle/right to make a hinged effect and I may see if this will work.
Going to detail the car this weekend and I'll pick up some 3M Adhesion promotor before I attach the spoiler.
Well they certainly ship fast and it looks great. Some very minor imperfections but I’m very pleased with it.
Now for you all who have put on spoilers. Is this going to be enough tape?
I'd get one shipped from out of state. MD dealers are giving $6-7k off easy on 3.0 premium 2021 models. I can DM you the name/num of my salesman. No way would I pay MSRP. Also I have ordered cars before and you can certainly haggle over price.
