They aren't my numbers, they are from the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics

Put them in yourself and see
Well I never said bargain, I said value. Value in that the price vs performance is evenly developed. A 41k car from 98 is 62k today in the USA according to the bureau of labor statistics so I guess the price isn't too ridiculous . Either way, back then there weren't too many Lexus sports cars...
I dunno man, to me Toyota was about a perfect marriage between value and quality. Maybe it's just the millennial in me. I've been blessed with a good career, my wife even more so. I can for sure afford that.
However, I can't justify spending that much money on a car. If 50ish is the price...
Well I really hope that's not the case. The price vs performance gap is a sin. Competitor's vehicles offer more HP for less $ and you're breaching on rc-f numbers.
The gap between the 86 and the Supra will also be enormous in terms of cost and performance...
Part of what made the Supra
But where are you getting the 50k-65k number from? ... Wouldn't that cannibalize the z4... That's the price of a z4 which is luxury.
40k I believe. Adjusted for inflation, we are pretty close to 54k. However, that was a bad price point since it led to the discontinuation of the Supra...few people could afford to buy it.
Also, nowadays you can get a fully loaded Mustang for 39k...with HP in the 400s...it does not make sense...
The asterisk next to everything says estimated, and I'm glad its an estimate cause that is f******n b*******t...why would they price that car at 65k...thats insane and unrealistic for a Toyota
I disagree, that would drive the price of the car astronomically. I don't see why Toyota would do that. In fact, I think that is the kind of stuff they should allow enthusiasts to obtain in the aftermarket.
My gut tells me they are trying to compete with the Mustang/Camaro/Challenger segment. 4 seats just makes sense. 4 seats would likely sell more too considering guys with families, or occasionally people to haul, would be more inclined to buy it.
