Just did my brake fluid again (3 years⦠I know, terrible.)
I kept a close eye on things this time; my front right outer bleeder is painfully slow; it drips at the pace of a gravity bleed. I waited 45 minutes and maybe got 100 ML out. Every other bleeder, including the front right inner, is...
Yep. Once you hit the mileage or date the notification will persist and say service is due. If you go a month past that, it'll say overdue (the little yellow indicator might change to red, but don't quote me on that).
That aside, if your last reset was done when the vehicle had ~7000 miles, I...
The transient notice informing you of the next maintenance date when starting the car will always occur. When the date (or mileage) arrives, the message will persist in the notification center of iDrive. This is normal behavior for all modern BMWs.
I am a bit confused; 03/27 is in the future so that sounds like BimmerLink correctly performed the reset. The transient maintenance reminder when you start the car is normal.
I'm not reading that novel.
This isn't complicated - the maintenance reset must be done via a diag tool if the mileage is abnormally low (I do not know the exact threshold). Do not expect a Toyota dealership to know about this relative edge case.
Appreciate it. Rather surprising, underneath the sheet metal the car is 100% BMW so I donāt understand why they wouldnāt want to work on it. Especially for something like an oil change, which is near identical to every other g series B58 vehicle.
Forgot to mention, Midlothian BMW does my yearly...
Mind sharing which euro shops refused to work on the Supra? Will make sure not to waste my time with them.
Iāve read good things about Iron Wood; owned by a former Wallace Automotive tech which is a solid shop (both in terms of reviews and first hand).
Should be good; I took mine to...
Yeah, I kind of regret not buying a G42 over the G20. Mine has the 48V mild hybrid, so thatāll be fun when the battery eventually fails. Pre-LCI interior ftw though.
Yep, except ādual storageā 12V rather than 48V. Common (but not ubiquitous) on non-mild hybrid, G-series cars depending on how theyāre configured.
With that said, I did some googling and had no idea the alarm has a dedicated battery! The information I found mentions a 10 year lifespan, but I...
Iām guessing it is a four-cylinder with the auxiliary battery in the engine department.
edit: just realized op is in the UK. Still the same guess (possibly) minus the four-cylinder. That or an aftermarket system in which case good luck.
This is terrible advice that should be ignored. Manufacturers account for leftover oil in the engine when specifying the oil change quantity. They do not expect everyone to guess how much is leftover, thatās nonsensical.
You do realize the level displayed within iDrive is contains a buffer...
Makes sense. Thereās no shortage of owners posting about poor experiences when taking their Supra to a Toyota dealership, but itās all highly anecdotal. Some techs are probably happy to work on them, and some find it a burden because mechanically itās not a Toyota.
Personally Iāve only been to...
Iām borderline mechanically inept and I have DIYed mine since the first oil change. Most difficult part is lifting the vehicle, everything else is quite easy on the B58.
That said, I would look into one of the local euro-focused shops if DIY isnāt an option. I donāt have any firsthand...
ā¦is this for real? You must not have even a fundamental understanding of software development and your self entitlement is overwhelming. UNECE R155/R156 would blow your mind.
If anything, we are fortunate the barrier to entry to use ISTA is low; in contrast look into the hardware required to...
