I owned a '17 MX-5 RF which was very nimble and a blast to drive in the twisties, but gutless as hell...Then a '18 C7 Corvette which was fast but not very nimble...And now a Supra which I call my Goldilocks sports car that's both fast and nimble!

The actual factory subwoofer sheet metal enclosure shown below is not removable....
The subwoofer plastic mounting boxes on top of the sheet metal enclosure can be removed...
Those Focals shown are 4 ohm speakers... BMW has a few different stereo options offered such as "Hi-Fi", HK, etc...And depending on the system the subs as well as amplifier outputs are either 2, 4, or 8 ohms... You'd need 8 ohm to properly match them to our HK amp with requires 8 ohm...

Sure, you can take this to an Audio shop to see if they would do this for you, but don't be surprised if they try to upsell you on a whole new sub system by telling you how much the current system sucks and that you'll need to spend a few thousand to get really good sound...ha!

ASD in the Supra is a synthesized signal derived from various sampled parameters and then overlayed on top of the audio signal...I disabled this "feature" well over a year ago because it actually distorts and muddies the audio signal...I'm also not a fan of faux and gimmicky features such as...
Yeah, I fixed that a while ago....pull off the plastic cover plate and place thin adhesive back felt strips in areas where plastic cover edges meets hatch cover...
Just make sure you secure the area between the spoked cover and circular plastic grill plate (which can be separated from one another) and not the area between the bottom of the grill plate and felt top woofer cover that I've seen some mistakenly do...It's the area between the spoked cover and...
