The shipping spacers are removed but I did put on 20mm top mount spacers because, if you've ever visited Thailand, you know just how terrible the roads are here. I'd prefer to do a KW V3 with HLS2 but KW has said it won't fit in the mk5. I also haven't found an air cup setup that allows for a...

I'm torn about this topic as well. The hockey stick look just seems off. But the painted examples here also seems a little off to me as well, although not as off as the CF piece.
Thank you for making the possible sacrifice. I am looking forward to hearing about the outcome. I have a Road Top that I bought but haven't installed yet... but if my experience dealing with the seller in China is any indication, I am not going to be fully satisfied.
I bought the car from a guy here in Bangkok who ordered the car from Japan with all the TRD catalog. Including the 19" forged wheels, body kit parts, etc. And yeah, that TRD damper kit is insanely expensive. I lucked out buying this car with all these TRD parts on it because I would never...
Today I created a logo for my car, Red Rocket, got the TRD front damper cross member and flanges back from the paint shop and now it matches the paint on my car. Also added some CF seat back overlays.
Hope someone who fabricates parts sees this and steps up and makes some parts we can buy. I think a replacement center armrest without cupholders would sell pretty well. I, too, don't really like the janky 3d printed covers.
Searched but could not find anything so hold your snarky comments please.
Im wondering if anyone makes a replacement for the center armrest without cupholders? I don't want to do the janky plastic covers and would prefer a replacement without any cupholders at all.
I have a RHD 2025 6mt...
Yeah, these carbon fiber cover pieces are less than desirable. I'm considering just taking the original pieces and bringing them to a local CF shop here to have them covered in CF fabric and lacquered. That would be a nicer finish and fitment than a cover that's taped on.
To close the loop, I bought the MMI offered by Road Top. What a big mistake that was! The vendor is disreputable and caused me a lot of issues with customs enforcement here in Thailand because, he marked the value of the product at $10. He thought he was doing me a favor but I never asked...
I've been searching the web for vendors who sell interior CF parts for RHD models and I mostly come up with parts for LHD cars. Anyone know of any vendors who make CF parts for the interiors of RHD cars. Namely, I'm looking for CF covers for the AC unit and drivers/passenger door pwr window...
I ended up buying this MMI from Road Top at the suggestion of another forum member... https://roadtop.com/products/bmw-z4-wireless-carplay?variant=43132229026035
Will I also need the MHD universal adapter and will I need to follow the same AUX coding regimen?
That MMI is much more reasonably priced I think. Will likely give that one a try. You mentioned an adapter. Do you know which adapter ? Sorry I'm new to the mk5 platform and just now figuring all this out.
Thanks for the help and for chiming in.
I'm probably one of the few who has this problem but I live in Thailand and I have a Japanese market 2024 3.0 6MT that was imported here last year and has the Japan map file on idrive.
How do I get a map for my local area?
I will eventually use Android auto when I can figure out if the...
I haven't popped my hood vents out yet to see what's behind there... is it just a fender lining or is there a way for water to get right into the engine bay? It rains a lot here and I don't like too much water getting into the engine bay thru open vents.
Here in Thailand drivers are incredibly inconsiderate of others and it is extremely dangerous to drive... to the point where you have to always be hyper aware of your surroundings. The motorbikes trying to squeeze thru traffic are almost impossible to see. When you add on top of this the awful...
Actually, I wanted the auto because I put the 8hp70 in my mk4 and it is amazing. But, this is the one that was available here in Thailand (very few a90s here), so I settled for the MT. My mk4 does have the turn signal stalk on the correct side of the steering wheel (the right) :)
