Yes mate, I agree and this is true. But I was responding to the below (and quoted it); That it's not strange that a car is arriving soon with a build date of September. That it seems correct and nothing to worry about.

Remember, they take 3 months in shipping just to get here. They aren't coming from Japan. So any cars that arrive before March, will be a 2022 build.

They are in sequential order, but are not delivered/built in that order. Don't put much thought in stock/batch numbers. Are you sure it is a production date? Thats very quick to get one. Is it a "CP Date"? Thats a customer promise date and is just a guess the sales rep/sales manager put into...

Batching numbers are just stock numbers. It just means it's been entered into the purchase cycle properly. You get them 1 day after putting an order through. I'm taking the 2020 home for the weekend. Excited as :D Edit: GRSoup - When did you place your order mate?

No updates on my order. Still no build date... I check everyday hah. Going to take the demo home over the xmas break. It's a 2020 GT, so its a little different in both power and accessories to a 2023 GTS, but keen to get to spend a few days with it and show my wife (shes never sat in one).
