I feel like this is what it is but wouldn't there be a dip in the middle not on the far left side?
It's even noticeable when the high beams come on, there's a gap on the left side where the left one is lower leaving a darker spot in the middle of the headlights
What would it take to use a 2020 ECU in a 2021? Like how involved would the process be since I assume it wouldn’t be a direct swap?
Or would it be possible to just drop in an unlockable 2021 ECU into a 2021 model assuming it’s stock (the ECU not being flashed I mean)?
Cause also theoretically...
this one makes me nervous. Lol.
I really know what I’d do if I had my car in the shop for like 8+ weeks or was looking at an engine replacement or lemon law type of deal.
I’m at 1,820 miles right now and am still at max
Nearly 1500 miles and the oil level is still at max. Been bashing on it hard after the first 600 miles cause I couldn't wait for the entire break-in.
I'm hoping this isn't the case though
Weird. I couldn't find anything about that. I felt like I just couldn't see anything and had to go really slow in the dark versus my previous car (the headlights on it weren't LED but still).
I didn't know about the automatic high beams lol. I'll check it out.
Edit: Actually funny enough I...
Has anyone else had issues with their headlights being vertically misaligned and also having a short throw? I feel like I'm going crazy that I can't see more than 10 feet in front of my car without high beams at night.
At first I thought it was just the nose causing a split in the headlights...
So I just got my 21 Friday and drove it back 600 miles to GA, once I got out of MD and VA with their nonsensical 55mph freeways I’ve been beating on the car relatively hard.
Worst case scenario I have to put it in for leaky oil. Beat case is everything turns out fine. So far no oil has leaked...
So I guess the pickup is going to be delayed a bit. I found out that my current car has a lien on it from the previous owner because the geniuses at the Carmax it was bought from in 2015 never checked to see if the lien was released.
So I find this out after attempting to sell my car (back) to...
This singular issue is the biggest reason I was considering the 2020 for so long but ultimately I don’t want to pay $10k more than
It’s not a big issue for me, I’d just drive slowly and let it warm up on startup which should alleviate the issue right?
Yeah that’s what I’m planning to do atm...
Yep that's what I was waiting to do! I was wondering if I should change my oil at 1200-1500 though and switch to 5w30 or stick with 0w20 for the first oil change just to know if I have it since 5w30 could mask the issue
I ended up buying a 2021! Mostly due to the insane asking prices for used 20s when this 21 was brand new and cheaper.
At first (and mostly due to $$$ and me wanting to spend it on other things) I'll probably only do Intake/DP/Exhaust/JB4 when it comes to performance mods. I kinda want to...
Looks like I’m joining the Renaissance Red 2.0 gang. I was really on the fence between Turbulence Gray, Yellow and Red and decided that even though Gray looked good I wanted a car that wasn’t the same old boring black/white/gray like 95% of cars on the road and every one I’ve had before. Lol...
Got mine in RR 2.0 for $52.6k OTD. 3.0 Premium with DA.
Same, GA dealers are ridiculous here, even used ones are still going for $49k+ before taxes.
Ended up buying one from a dealer up in MD and am flying there and will drive the 9 hours back home with it.
Yeah I currently have offers for $7k-$7.6k on a 2014 Elantra from Carvana / Carmax and I kind of want to hop on that, and those are offers with fender bender damage from my neighbors, which the insurance company hasn't even paid me for yet. I figure the low mileage on it helps the offer...
The higher HP thing isn’t a huge deal as the aftermarket can make up the difference, I really only want around 500-600 whp (on 93) anyway.
I think I’m set on red which is what the color of the LE is so maybe. But I’ll have to think about it more haha.
Yeah I saw your farewell post lol. What...
Ah gotcha. I’ve only been looking at Red/Turbulence Gray/Yellow so I may have missed it haha. I haven’t seen many LEs for sale within 500 miles of me at least.
