:D the way i see it is this: the cayman s has 350 hp with 3000 lbs curb weight. the M2 has 365 hp with 3450 lbs curb weight. if this car can get close to 400 hp with a curb weight around 3200 lbs, for $50-60k? that's a damn good car no matter who made it or what it's called...

thanks for the info. i've always assumed this car was going to be a 6 cylinder twin turbo version of the 86 anyways. people cried foul with the low power, small tires, etc. that the 86 had so i think this car will address those problems as a next step up, with a commensurate price of course...

i agree that "shelf" in the jalopnik pic is exaggerated, but i still think it's the closest depiction. one thing that leads me to believe this, is the fact that they correctly depicted the 2 vertical slats that come off the "nose". the early spy shots had that entire area covered up. their pic...

all of this info isnt what most of us want to hear, but it makes total sense. i mean if toyota really wanted to, they could've done everything themselves. the mere fact that they teamed up with bmw on this project tells you everything you need to know... it also makes sense that bmw wouldnt want...

my money is still on jalopnik's drawing. they nailed the vette and nismo le mans cars, so obviously they had a tip from someone who saw it first hand. the thing that they got wrong was the side of the car. subsequent spy photos have shown a much more sculpted side. but the "nose" of the car...

the only problem is that the LC's doors have an upsweep that accommodates the vent. as far as i can tell, the supra's doors do no such thing. but even worse, putting a vent on the side skirt would ruin the look that the concept has established. look at how the side of the concept is...

i totally agree with this. as much as i want a toyota engine in there it sounds too much like the z4 mule to be a different engine. sure it's louder/better sounding but it could be as simple as a different exhaust. i also expect this car to be auto only. it's likely going to be in the M2...

Even if there is a vent there, that's ON the door so it'd be a fake vent. i'd MUCH rather it be a crease than a fake vent...
