Oh wow, you're running 20" AND lowered? Any noticeable differences while driving on the 35 front and 30 rear? Someone earlier in this thread mentioned 30's riding rough compared to 35's. Are you using spacers? Would really love to see a pic of the car's stance if you have one.
You had no issues wrapping 305's on the stock wheels? Everything I've read is saying 295 is the limit you should go. Did you put a spacer on your fronts as well?
I was looking into buying a set of BC Forged's w/ tires that come at that size as well. 275/35/19 in the front and 305/30/19 in the rear, however I wasn't sure if that would be a bad thing considering the height difference between front and rears. I'm still on stock suspension but have...
I had no problems getting the original black intake cover on, but Speed Industry ships out the clear covers without the rubber weather stripping attached to the cover. And the rubber isn’t necessarily easy to form either, so it just did not want to hold onto the new cover’s edge.
What I...
How did you put on the rear and side skirts? The directions that came with them all mention using the screws to drill it in but would really prefer not drilling into my car if I don’t have to. Did you use 3M double sided tape and adhesive promoter?
I’m also having the same issue attaching the edge to mine. Also ordered from Speed Industry as part of my MST V2 order but just now got it due to back order. I cannot for the life of me get this thing on. Are other vendors shipping this cover with the edge already attached?
That’s reassuring to hear then. I’ll probably just run it with the tape for now to keep it from fluttering around all over the place. My biggest concern was having the car run too lean if this sensor’s readings were off.
Thanks for the help!
Do you know what size screw extractor you used? Also, when you ran it as is for a week, is that with just one of the screws essentially? I’m concerned not having the other corner flush and snug could cause issues.
Right now I just wrapped it with electrical tape to try and keep it from lifting...
Sorry to dig up this old thread, but I literally did the same thing today when installing my intake. Screw head came right off and it was basically flush with the hole. I tried drilling but wasn’t successful with that either and just made the problem worse.
For now I have the intake installed...
Sorry to dig this up, but I literally just did the same exact thing to my MST Intake thinking I had to reuse the same screws to reinstall the MAF lol. Guess they really should’ve made that clearer when writing the instructions.
How did you manage to get the screw out without the head? Mine is...
+1 for @NitroYellowMKV Super stand up guy. Sold my OEM downpipe to him and the whole entire process was seamless. He provided the shipping label and payment very quickly. He also has a ton of other mods for sale at great prices, so I will definitely be looking forward to working with him again...
Good to know. I’ll probably end up taking it off and reapplying new tape and adhesive promoter. Either that or returning it for some other brand, but can’t guarantee I won’t run into the same issue.
Okay, at least it’s not just my specific spoiler then that has this issue.
I used the 3M tape that came pre applied to the spoiler. The spoiler is on my car and I took it out for a drive yesterday after letting it sit for about 24 hours. Did a few pulls and didn’t notice any lifting which is a...
Hey all - sorry to bump this thread. Any good shops in the Central FL area for Supra work? Looking to get a downpipe installed and some other work done coming here soon.
Just installed this same exact Amazon spoiler on my car. How was the fitment on yours? On mine, the outer arms don’t sit flush on the trunk of the car. I test fitted before install and knew this ahead of time, but just curious if this will cause any long term effects to the adhesive? Or is it...
Got any sounds clips of your setup? I have the same intake and downpipe coming on Monday, and depending on the sound with the dp installed I was debating exhaust options. Would really love to hear how a muffler delete sounds with this setup.
