I would have never imagined agreeing with this before I drove and purchased my '20, but here I am now, thinking similarly - not planning to make the trade. However, a GR Corolla would be a nice pairing and it would cure that manual itch...
How are you liking the exhaust? How was the install? I see their product page mentions some trimming required...but of what exactly? I am thinking about this exhaust but also RK Signature. I do have interest in running the Verus diffuser so am curious which one tucks up better. I have seen one...
Good to hear and very interesting. From all the info I have been absorbing we seem to indeed reached a peak in prices within the last few months. With the uncertainty in the market and world in general I would too expect to see a bit of a pullback. Pretty wild that you got a call for a 992...
Still enjoying the 3RS? Really like my Supra but have been following the 991 market for a while now...longing for a 991.2 non-RS but having a hard time justifying it as 3.5x the car as the Supra in terms of purchase cost...~40k increase over what they were 1.5 years ago!
I had ExoShield installed. I'm happy with it so far. No issues. For me I would just rather not deal with the whole inconvenience of a replacement (possibly more down time than the ExoShield install, worry about if the replacement is good, HUD calibration, etc...)
I enjoy seeing track builds on the forums. And YouTube. Not much a fan of the general FB car groups as there seems to be tons of low effort or repetitive posts and FB groups in general set up for disorganization (not so much with the Mk5 track group, but in general). Anyway, nice build.
Interesting comparison with what seems like a lot honest thoughts, but objectiveness on the scorecard can certainly be disputed on categories like styling, transmission, and features.
Outside of the Supra, I only have personal driving experience with the Mach 1 (auto, non-HP, catless 1 7/8...
Now that I've got the low-hanging fruit taken care of on the performance side, I'm adding some personal touches in the form of under-hood carbon and burned titanium bits. Nothing wrong with some personal flair! I like to drive my car...and stare at it after its all cleaned up! :D
Carvana and the like works out for some people but some have had bumpy experiences. Used market is still high, too close to new MSRP prices in many cases. Unless you find something specific you are after in the used market, or can't fight the need for instant gratification, I suppose that is a...
Switching, no. I might acquire a manual and then decide the fate of the auto. But the fact that I have a tunable ECU and am already down the mod path, it would be harder to let go. The Supra was the first non-6 speed manual sports car for me...and I like it more than I thought I would. I would...
I’ve got the 911 bug… 997 GT3? “Settle” for a M6 Carrera S? Pay record high prices for a 993? Wait for more 992s to hit the lots for 991 inventory to go up? I don’t even know if the “P tax” is worth it…
