Heard from a local tech there's a new recall for the Supra regarding the steering tie rods. Don't see it on the NHTSA website yet, but this could explain why even after my alignment I'm having steering issues at high speed.
Total BS. It sounds to me like they didn't want to rent the tools from BMW for the radar calibration and spoon fed you that nonesense. You can get the alignment done at any independent shop as long as they have the updated specs for the A90 Supra. A lot of shops don't update their racks every...
Thanks for the info. The drop is pretty aggressive but so far haven't noticed any issues with the safety system after getting the alignment done at an independent shop.
Ended up talking to the Toyota service tech in person and he explained that BMW requires the radar sensor to be re-calibrated (not replaced -- I misunderstood the SA over the phone) each time the ride height is changed. Otherwise the safety system (front collision, lane departure, etc) may not...
Dropped my car on KW coilovers and went to 3 alignment shops but none were able to align it due to their Hunter racks not having the 2020 specs for the Supra. So I took it to the dealer who quoted me $120, but then called me after I dropped it off and said it would be $600 because BMW mandates a...
I don't remember if it happens with the turn signal on. It happens randomly. But it's not supposed to happen at all when lane departure is set to "off" and the steering intervention box is unchecked in the Supra Safety menu. The only way to completely disable it is to push the Supra Safety...
Thanks for the feedback. Glad I'm not the only one having this issue with the lane departure being off (yet still kicking in randomly). Really annoying when you're trying to change lanes and the steering wheel tries to fight you. Will bring it up with the dealer and see if there's an update.
Tried searching for this but couldn't find anything. Having an issue with the steering intervention still kicking in when it thinks the car is doing a lane departure, even when it's all turned off in the Supra Safety menu and when the button is pressed for 3 seconds.
Anyone else have this issue?
