The more I read, the more I think I'll just switch to Liquid Moly 6660 0w20 and if a track day is coming up, I'll just make sure it's got a fresh oil change before hand like I usually do.
My '23 3.0 Premium is expected to arrive at the dealer I'm purchasing from within the next week. My drive from FL to the dealer in TN will be over 750 miles. We'll be renting a car for the trip up. Worth it for finding the allocation I wanted in the exact spec without markup. Going to grab a...
Ok, so seems maybe 0w30 isnt an issue. Guess I'll research some more of what to make the switch to, if anything. Was looking at the oil change kits offered by FCP euro and saw a lot recommending the 5w30 oil.
I was thinking that as well, but I don't think that would ever be an issue, plus, they would have to do a full oil analysis to even see that was the case. Plus, I believe 5w30 falls within the recommended oil weights in the owners manual based on climate conditions.
My '23 3.0 premium is due to arrive at the dealer the first week of May in Tennessee. I'm in Florida, so will be making a trip of it and driving it home after spending several days at Tail of the Dragon to break it in properly.
Once I get it home it will no doubt have over 1200 miles on it so...
I'll be an occasional autox and track, so likely bump it up to 5w30, especially with this FL heat. I'm fine running the 0w20 in my Tundra TRD Pro, but I think the Supra calls for something a little more hefty.
I will once I actually get mine haha Supposed to deliver to the dealer first few days of July. Have to take a road trip to TN to pick it up but turning it into a vacation and staying several nights at tail of the dragon to break it in right ?
Looks like you're local-ish to me. Which liquid moly did you go with? The 5w30? I'm traveling to TN to pick up my car so by the time I get it home, I'll likely do my first oil change and planning on switching to the liquid moly.
That first one with the blue stripe ugh, that looks good and would look great in my strato blue. Must resist buying a replacement steering wheel before I even have the car hahaha
Getting ready to purchase these, anybody else buy them and happy with look and fit? Going to install them before I get the car PPFed and ceramic coated.
Yeah, I'm assuming it's more of what's been dealt with for a while now. Lack of drivers or workforce in general. I will say, the shipment mine came in with, the vessel had 100 total Supras to offload according to the bill of lading. So that probably plays into it too.
I see mine on there and it hasnt updated beyond Toyota Tracker which lost the link to mine when it came into port on 5/24. Weird that the API lost mine but all the other info on there is correct, especially the pre-sold field. Got word from my salesguy yesterday that it finally got on the truck...
He's just saying sales guy stuff. You can't change the color of a car thats allocated and to be produced. He might be thinking he can try switching his dealer's particular allocation with another dealer while they're at port to get the color you want. But chances are, if you want a different...
I'm checking to find the VIN on their freight company's actual bill of lading for their vessel shipments from the Zeebrugge port in Belgium. If it's on a boat, I might be able to find it.
