Thank you. I read the message yesterday and had to smile at first, and I wondered whether I should even reply at all.
I donāt understand this āplaceboā knock-down argument, and how can a feeling not be positive or negative? If I hadnāt felt any change without the CDV, I would have written that...
I also have a Supra MT. Iām driving with a custom tune, because in Germany everything always has to be complicated if you want to stay legal. With the custom map I havenāt had the issues mentioned so far, but Iāve only been running it for about 3,000 km. Iāve never tested the MHD OTS Stage 2...
If the Ćhlins suspension is over 1k USD cheaper in the US, I would choose that one. Here in Germany, the Ćhlins costs ā¬3,975 witc EDC cancellation kit, and the KW DDC is currently available from a shop celebrating its anniversary for ā¬3,060 (list price ā¬3,470). I have the cheaper KW V3 (i paid...
Personally, I donāt really see the point of running zero toe at the front. Especially for everyday driving, I want stability at higher speeds on the autobahn. I often drive over 200 km/h, sometimes 250 km/h or even faster ā and personally, above 200 km/h, I donāt want a neutral (zero) toe setup...
Iām German as well and have never heard of that brand or seen it in stores but that doesnāt necessarily mean anything.
0W20 is perfectly fine for stock performance and to maintain the factory warranty. However, once you start increasing power - especially from Stage 2 onward - Iād recommend...
Yes, you are correct. The steering wheel is mechanically centered by the tie rods, since the Supra / Z4 G29 doesnāt use steer-by-wire.
In my case, it was probably a combination of both:
Mechanically: the tie rods were adjusted unevenly.
Electronically: the steering angle sensor needed to be...
The alignment on my car had already been done earlier at another workshop when I installed a KW V3 suspension, and yes ā the stock suspension settings were terrible. I drove about 10,000 km with that setup before having the sway bars installed.
Yeah, I also found the whole situation a bit...
Maybe this helps:
A few days ago, I had stiffer sway bars installed at the front and rear, and the suspension alignment was adjusted as well. When I picked up the car, I immediately noticed that the steering wheel was turned slightly to the left, and I had the same feeling others described ā as...
I donāt think the wing is bad, but I would also screw it down for safety. I donāt know if you have already obtained the prices from Talaria, but here in Germany Manhart sells the parts (at least they look identical) under their own name, and the prices are extremely high.
Link to Manhart...
I contacted my Toyota dealership for the part numbers based on the listing on the Gazoo Racing website for the EU Final Edition and the EU Lightweight EVO Edition / US Final Edition. My contact wasnāt 100% sure about the part numbers for the EU Lightweight EVO Edition / US Final Edition. So keep...
The Final Edition in the US is what the Lightweight EVO Edition is in the EU. As you mentioned, on the Lightweight EVO Edition, the rear brace is mounted to the differential cover, just like on the Z4.
The EU Final Edition has larger cooling fins on the transmission cover:
However, on the EU...
