  1. 40th anniversary for Toyota's Calty Design Research, Creators of the FT-1 Concept

Seriously? Just because of a non-informative update by an unnamed BMW rep? Have some faith and patience people. :) The car still has plenty of time to arrive as a 2017 car.
  2. Wish List for the new Supra / Must Have Futures and Options!

The Z should continue to be priced slightly above the 86 so they are not completely apples to apples competitors but agreed that the Supra has to be the flagship Toyota. I wouldn't mind if they took it slightly upmarket even
  3. 3rd gen G29 BMW Z4 (2019-202X)

I think any kind of major reveal happens on the first day. A lot of the press clears out after that. Ah well, more and more waiting for anything remotely Supra related. The payoff better be worth it! ;)
  4. Toyota Press Release: FT-1 Concept Coming to Gran Turismo 6 on January 14

That's a sensible prediction. Hadn't even thought of that possibility but turbo 6 cylinder sounds like the most likely engine for the car. The RC F V8 is available now but almost doesn't seem to make sense putting this engine in a car that won't hit the market for another 2 years. The engine...
  5. Toyota Press Release: FT-1 Concept Coming to Gran Turismo 6 on January 14

Damn that's setting a high benchmark!
  6. Hybrid Supra Rumors & Chatter / B58 hybrid

That site posts bunk. Seems to make up info and never have a specific source other than "our source." Still no way it's going to be hybrid at $50-60 grand.
  7. Toyota FT-1 concept & A90 Supra design dissected

Audi definitely worst offender of the same sausage different length look. Talk about taking a corporate look too far.
  8. Toyota FT-1 concept & A90 Supra design dissected

I've read lots of ppl saying the FT-1 nose wouldn't make production because of crash stadnards but if the Enzo and La Ferrari's front ends can meet safety standards, it's not so far fetched that the FT-1 nose or something close to it will appear on the MKV Supra. BTW, 3 beautiful cars! Just...
  9. The Pricing Thread + Potential US Tariffs Impact

So what the supra cost more than the vette back in the day too. But it had better design and more sophisticated engineering. I'm expecting that for this time around too, along with a price that reflects it.
  10. Toyota Supra rumored to be offered with 2.0L turbo 4-cylinder base model

Not to mention i'd rather not have my engine blow up on me after 1000 miles. Race car numbers don't matter for a production car.. realistically a 4cyl is going to reliably make and be offered at 350-400 and not much more with a warranty. Really thatt would be total fail if the Supra revival...
  11. Interviews with Chief Engineer Tetsuya Tada

I thought Tada was heading up the joint Toyota-BMW (FT-1) project, judging from his comments made about meeting up with the people at BMW. From one of the quotes above: “Actually I am flying to Munich after the [Geneva] motor show for discussion about the future cooperation with BMW. We are...
  12. Will the 2017 Supra use carbon fiber?

CF makes sense for hood, roof, and trunk but it'd be horrible for doors and fenders. One ding or parking accident and you're out a grip of $.
  13. Toyota may build Supra convertible / targa instead of 86 convertible

This would actually be pretty sweet :love::love::love:
  14. Toyota FT-1 3D Printed Keychain

Seriously if someone gets one and wants to part with it, I'll pay you a few bucks for it, just PM me. I love collecting trinkets like this.
  15. Toyota may build Supra convertible / targa instead of 86 convertible

I find this interesting. If the FR-S can't sell enough convertibles to make the numbers work why would the Supra?
  16. Graphite Toyota FT-1 Second Concept Coming to Pebble Beach (Updated to Include Various Auto Shows)

Graphite looks amazing under show light conditions. Jealus of you guys who get a show with the car. Doubt we see it here in TX.
  17. The Pricing Thread + Potential US Tariffs Impact

Amen. Supra turbo in '98 cost about $40k which is equal to about $57k today.
  18. AMG GT reviews are out!

The 911 clearly sets the bar year after year so that might also be why someone buys it :) BUt yea it's the safe and unimaginative choice. The AMG GT and F Type Coupe R and used R8 are much sexier choices. If only I had the type of $ to have this dillemma :(
  19. MKV Toyota Supra Photoshops & Renders based on FT-1 & Prototypes

THe subaru one could work. I actual like what they did to the rear quarters and all those sharp chiseled lines, very handsome looking. How about a luxury cruiser version of the FT1 ?
