You’ll probably get a slough of answers ranging from “I’ve never had an issue” to “My friend died driving without hood pins”.
I personally think you might as well get it done right, but it should be fine if you’re just going to show it off for the day…
After my current set, I’m going up to 265/40/18 on 18x10 [F] & 285/40/18 on 18x11 [R].
If you go 295 in the rear, I believe you’ll need to get an aspect ratio of 35.
Most expensive would probably be the Fi exhaust w/ downpipe.
The only other direct bolt-on option I can think of is from aFe (what I decided to go with).
Any catback that fits the 3.0 can fit the 2.0, but you will have to have your OEM downpipe modified to do so.
I agree the price isn’t bad at all— just too much for my 4 banger!
Regarding installation… the only thing I inquired about was the M triggers. The rep was very responsive, so I’m sure they’ll answer any questions.
Hopefully they offer alternative wrapping for people with sweaty hands like me.
I reached out to Whirl through Facebook regarding the pictured steering wheel since it’s a very attractive option.
The representative stated each unit runs $1350 not including the M1 & M2 triggers. This price, I believe, does not including shipping.
Apologies— I’m probably growing defensive due to an endless barrage of shit talkers ?…
The Supra 2.0 is 3181 pounds with near 50/50 weight distribution & 0-60 in high 4’s stock. If you can acquire a base model for sticker or under ($42k or less) and throw 4-5k at it, you are looking at a VERY...
Personally, I will only be doing a catback + intake. I purchased (NOT leased/loaned) a B48 Supra to replace my 86 as a daily beater here in SoCal. Straight line speed is relatively low on the priorities list.
That being said— “you should of bought a faster car” can be applied to nearly every...
The exact specs you are looking for, 1” Front & .75” Rear, can be achieved using H&R lowering springs.
I have them on my Supra 2.0 (lowers the car an additional .2” because OEM springs are taller), and I am very happy!
Should not cost more than $1200 (SoCal prices) to properly weld the holes closed and repaint the trunk, if you care enough.
I just traded in my 86, after removing the Varis kit & wing, into a Toyota dealership. They did not bat an eye at the many exposed holes left behind since the vehicle...
