hmm. I’m jb4 cali and hesitant to unlock too. I’ve seen comments that the unlockers say it will/should work but until someone goes to a strict smog shop and it passes I’ll wait. I’ve got a few years before I “have” to smog and I’ve never been pulled over for dumb reasons so just being way too...
So just thought of this. assuming this is going to be great functioning wing - how hard would it be to create a cover for the trunk mount if I were to take the wing off for more daily driving and not look like a poser all day? I got a friend that could do this too but just wondering.
So curious. There’s probably more physics to this that I’ve forgot about but I see most wings on brackets that are angled back. Doesn’t this create torque on the bolts and some opposing/ lost downward force? What if the brackets were angled forward in such a way so that all the force is now...
We need an active system for track that adjusts based off steering angle and speed. A dc controlled pump, couple hydraulic struts, get info from car and algorithm to adjust angle would be pretty slick.
I think it’s timing. It’s been 7 ish years and the platform hasn’t really changed much and everything has already been discussed and not much new info anymore. And don’t ask questions about oil, wheels, manifolds, turbos transmissions, suspensions or tuning cuz it’s already been asked and answered.
Hmm. I’m curious too. Did some searching for brake coding and didn’t find what it does exactly (do you have links to where the info came from?). Are there any negatives to doing this other than a bit more rear brake wear?
Had it for over a week but finally got it installed. Pretty straightforward. Even a caveman can do it…. That clamp looks pretty close but there’s enough space. If I develop a weird clunky noise I’ll make sure to check the suspension first.
To put your mind at ease you could get the $30 hf case and still put it inside an Amazon box. And make sure to write - nothing to see here - on the outside. That will make sure to keep anyone out.
Curious if any one runs the pmu 999s on their daily? I have a set now but wasn’t going to put them on until around feb/mar and wasn’t sure if I should swap out current ones. I have the club racer on now and not what I’d call noisy but I don’t drive it daily. I noticed the operating temp range...
if they could make a wide body kit that replaced panels instead of riveting then maybe. I find the riveting makes the car and the riveted crap look bad. For a race car though some of it has function.
I can’t get into the wide body for an everyday car. Just looks like a kid with an erector set put it together and got so far and said - yea good enough.
Not sure what kind of specialist you used but normally a good alignment shop will go out with you to feel the issue and troubleshoot.
and if it’s still under warranty the dealer should fix it whether they can find it or not.
