I think we forget the fact that the Supra is a modified Z4, which was developed for 400hp.
An 500hp engine would require a major redesign.
I highly doubt we will ever see this engine in the Supra, as nice as it would be.
It would also effect BMWs M cars sales I think.
But you guys always talk...
On eBay Kleinanzeigen when you search for Supra A90 or MK5 there is a guy that sells the MST stuff.
It’s not street legal in Germany but you can try a TÜV Einzelabnahme. (Car specific checkup)
Talk to them before you buy, they can tell you if you can use it street legal.
Cheers
The PS4S is a much softer tire than the PSS.
There is a tread wear rating on them.
For me the car felt wobbly on the back tires when accelerating when I first switched to them.
I went from stock 29psi (2,2bar) to something between 34 to 36 (2,4-2,5bar) don’t remember exactly and that fixed it...
Yes I got it fixed.
My tuner said something went wrong when flashing the ecu.
They reflashed it and car starts perfectly at first try now.
If you want to go for some troubleshooting you can use BimmerLink.
Use the measurements:
-Battery Voltage
-Rail Pressure
-Oil Pressure
-Engine RPM...
Start always in normal, but it’s nice to have a fun button.
Didn’t use the poll because it’s too generic.
We have to separate manual and automatic shifting.
On automatic shifting it’s like 80% normal and 20% Sport.
On manual 60% Sport and 40% normal.
Sometimes manual is too annoying for me...
That’s really expensive, got my PS4S rears 275/35/R19 for 580€ and the front 255/35/R19 for 380.
Went to a local dealer and paid 80 bucks for the mounting and balancing.
So 1040 in total
If you buy them watch out for stuff like OE or BSW.
This are manufacturer codes like BMW or Mercedes.
I...
Forgot to mention, the left one is the old front tire (both look pretty much the same) after 26k miles.
It’s the PSS that comes from the factory.
The right one is the new one that is on the car right now.
and I’m not that much overweight xD
I will try to find a different shop for an alignment...
Hello,
I don’t know if it’s related to the lowering springs but my tires are completely down on the inside and 4mm left on the outside.
In the picture is a front tire, it’s not that bad on the rear tires.
I got an alignment on factory specs after installing the lowering springs.
But I also did...
The Supra is a GT while the M3 is not.
But most ppl who own an M3 will most likely not drive it on a racetrack so it’s pretty good for daily driving / fun car too but the question is do you really need the racetrack features?
The M3 is much heavier than the Supra.
Around 400kg (~900 pounds)...
Afaik 5w30 is not available in API SN+ or SP which reduces the change of lspi.
And you can check your engine oil temperature.
If it stays below 120C (240F) there is no reason to go for a thicker oil.
Which it is without a tune or even a Stage1 unless you drivin on track in the desert :p
I think it depends on what type of car owner you are.
The enthusiastic one who says I only drive manual/auto because I want to drive it this way.
or
the practical one like I’m using what fits my needs.
So if you are using the car for fun/weekends and you want to feel every acceleration/gear...
If you are already planning to get a tune try to get a 2020 model :D
You won’t be satisfied with JB4 when there is so much more power to squeeze out of this amazing engine.
When looking for a car I always look outside of cities and crowded areas. The cars are usually a lot cheaper.
You maybe...
Happens to me after cold start and shifting at low speed or acceleration.
f.e. try shifting into third gear at 18-20mph.
There is a minimum speed requirement before the car will shift a gear. If you are at the lowest possible speed the car shifts this usually happens.
In Europe and some other country’s they still sell the A90 because the A91 fails to comply with emission regulations.
The S58 would be nice to see in a Supra but I don’t think it will happen.
They would need bigger brakes, better suspension, a DSG and so on which would raise the price close to...
That’s strange maybe check out a Toyota dealer if there is an update for the software available.
I deactivated the steering assist and the checkbox was empty but it still tried to kill me when there was a road construction or similar.
But activating and deactivating again disabled it.
So...
Guess it’s my turn now :)
I’m working in the quality assurance of a big German manufacturer of road building machines.
I’m inspecting, testing and repairing them if needed.
I got 20+ years of experience and I do a lot of overtime. Paid, thankfully :)
The Supra startet as a fun car to use it...
