Stumbled on a way to reduce the ASD volume via the Z4 expert settings.
I have an MT with the Dinan intake and catback. Usually would just run with ASD off because of the horrible booming drone in sport mode.
I coded this quieter version of ASD that changes the volume/Power Class from OL to ML...
Another vote for OEM/stealth look. This is a great design and good info about the void behind the missing radar sensor. Was thinking of doing the speed engineering duct before this.
Yes that was the one! Also recommend it to anyone going to Japan. One of the coolest experiences. Also think you need an international driver license if you’re from the US. I think I got one for like $30 at my local AAA office.
What company did you use in Hakone? I did something like that in 2018 - booked last minute so had to drive an Evo X dct. “Tour guide” or whatever you’d call it Yoshi-san was in an older modded Legacy wagon absolutely hauling ass as long the group could keep up.
Just installed my mirror tap and these instructions were super helpful! Wouldn’t have thought to run the wire through the mirror stem area - looks practically OEM now. Powers off after 6/7 minutes.
Anyone hesitant to cut holes in your panel should try just doing the 2” high density foam between the outer plastic panel and metal enclosure. I did this today with no other steps and am pleased with the difference it made.
A tip for installing the middle foam section is to cut it in half...
