Congrats man! Yea my wait was about 5 weeks, similar time.
My dealer told me they ādid everything by the bookā too. So it is still a mystery why it is happening.
Sorry to hear that Brother.
You can call toyota corporate, customer service, and ask specifically for a buy back. They will say bunch of bs like have to look into your stateās lemon law n stuff, but yea it will also take a while. You can do this while you wait on the ecu.
maybe thereās another...
What the ā¦
man i feel u. Been there. It took a lil bit more than four weeks before mine got fixed so itās almost there for you!!! They wonāt have an eta. The ecu just shows up on their doorstep, so you wont know until you got that phone call to tell u itās fixed. Hang in there!
Thatās great news! Hopefully they improved internal technical procedure or something.
I also have an updateāToyota Corporate gave me a $250 service & parts credit after many long phone calls.
This sounds horrifyingly familiar⦠I got a call on the day I sent her in, late in the afternoon, that āsome issueā was coming up and they need another dayāa day that turned into a monthā¦
But it seems that there are other people on this thread whose āissueā got resolved the second day. Soā¦...
Update: after a month+ finally the call came. The ECU arrived on Thursday morning, took them a whole day to install and test everything out before they called me and told me the great news.
I drove the car off with wide screen carplay, first thing on Friday morning. After two days (driving it...
I agree that if it is true they are doing everything by the book, then someone else, either the recall process or the chip itself, needs a recall.
Fortunately, I own the car outright so no extra financial burden, but still the majority of the loss of joy of having such a fantastic car in the...
Didnāt hear about that. I went to two NASA events and wasnāt told to do the recall, but those event might pre-date the recall solution.
Which NASA region are you in?
I should have refused.
I havenāt had the chance to take the RT660s on the street or anywhere yet. They were installed during the recall. The plan was to get everything done before the track weekendā¦
Iām curious about the street performance too, especially in the wet.
Yea they originally told me itās gonna be an all day job.
3k miles and needing oil seems to be normal. Iāve done it twice so far (three if you count one time im driving someone elseās Supra and this need oil message pops up)
Hey guys,
Thanks for all the concerning messages. Really appreciate it.
I donāt know whether I should blame the dealer. They said they did 4 or 5 recalls on Supras before, and none of these happened. They had their shop foreman working on my car along with two other experienced and...
I sent in my 2021 Supra to the dealership yesterday for the recall. They spent an entire day on it and told me today that, after a long call with Japan and Toyota engineers remotely taking over, they couldnāt do it and basically my ECU wonāt ātakeā anything now. So basically itās brick. The car...
Looks like this problem is quite common. They really should have released a recall or something.
They didnāt replace anything in my car; again, probably because of the way itās only half-stuck so nothing really got damaged.
Thanks! I took the car to the dealer this morning and they took care of it in an hour. Lucky for me they had a Supra(BMW)-certified technician with a petite stature so that guy (my hero for the day) crawled into the trunk from the front, torn down a panel and disentangled the latch. Exhausted...
Same thing happened to my Supra today⦠Hatch is jammed with the emergency release. Could you share a bit more about your fix? I tried @vrwm ās way but could not get 2d done. Thanks!
