  1. Formula 1 Talk

I only follow and watch IndyCar, not really F1. Indycar is much more competitive, with a much more even playing field, making it much more interesting to watch—there’s 10-12 drivers capable of winning any given race. Last year in the final race 5 different drivers theoretically could win the...
  2. To M2 or not to M2

Haven’t read all 13 pages. But responding to the original question: I wouldn’t go to the new M2 from my Supra 3.0. The new M2 is 3,850 lbs, tall, and not that good looking (but it isn’t the worst IMO). Plus, I don’t think it’ll perform much better than a Supra, and probably worse in grip...
  3. A bit disappointed in Toyota

I don’t like fake vents either, but it didn’t stop me from buying a ‘22 Supra 3.0 last year. Great car! I wouldn’t replace the fake plastic vents with ones with holes because that means more water getting into the body, and air passages behind the open vents are still non existent.
  4. What cars sit next to your Supra?

    With the ‘22 Supra 3.0 is a ‘21 Camaro ZL1 and 2016 Volvo XC90 T6 (supercharged and turbocharged 2.0 4 cyl).
  5. BMW or Toyota

I think of it as a BMW engineered sports car that is tuned, programmed, and designed by Toyota. It’s both, really. Toyota and BMW started with the same hardware, but were not legally allowed to talk or trade notes during development. So they were developed completely separately. Everything that...
  6. Deposit made, have VIN, dealer doesn’t have much more information

I pretty much gave up asking for updates when my car transport went on hold in late August. None the less, I got the call Friday that it just arrived, and we picked it up Saturday! My wife and I (it’s our 3rd car) love it. It’s a nice change up from my ZL1 from time to time. The rear low 3/4...
  7. Respect the Break-in Period?

Just got my new ‘22 Supra 3.0 on Saturday. Let my wife drive it home from the dealer. With about 25 miles I took my son for a ride in the back country roads, I did several ~80% throttle to very brief wide open throttle runs from 2500-5000ish rpm, once hitting 5500. They need pressure in the...
  8. Deposit made, have VIN, dealer doesn’t have much more information

Hi all, I put a deposit down and signed papers for a 2022 Supra 3.0 a couple of weeks ago. I have a VIN, and they’re saying it is here already in the US. Dealer is telling me it’s in transit, they also went as far as saying it’s on a truck to the dealer. However, when I try to get more detailed...
