While we are currently still in testing.... Things from the C.A.R.B have changed. Because of these bylaw changes. We have been sending them current parts. Unfortunately, these things here in CA take much time. By mid this year Doteki will have 49 state legal certificates on some of our parts. I...
Sometimes you can get the residual oil that runs off the filter housing from changing the filter up top. You will know it is leaking for sure when it starts to build up on the bottom. If it is actually leaking then most of the time the housing has started to crack. I have seen this one time. I...
As we gather more data and compile these things. We will be posting them on our side of the Forum sponsor page for Doteki. With all the current development and lack of staff. It is not of upmost importance to post this right away. The most important part is testing and proving that Our parts can...
To shed some more light on everyone talking about the oil temp. control and pressure issues here is what we have found.....
After hours and hours.... Even our 25-hour endurance race. The oil control on the B58 platform is a bit temperamental! Firstly, the oil cooler/flow control housing is...
You know we have a full AIM PDM with display specifically for the MK5 with full integration for a race car setup? Not yet published. PM me if you want some more details. I will be following your thread. Cheers
Totally understandable. We know where brand loyalty stands with some. But we have our mounts on the highest Tq. B58 in the world right now. With zero issues. Matt Galiano of Grade-A-garage has been dragging on our mounts for a full year and a half with no issues. What makes quality of one better...
Interesting.... What unit are you going with? I am guessing people are already trying to sell others on Motec? It is currently being developed in Australia and will take some time. The problem is the Flexray in the car. All aftermarket ECUs except the factory BOSCH motorsport stuff cannot...
No worries. People just need to be up front about what happens. No one is perfect. I highly doubt this would have happened if the car did not end up smacking a center median at 60+ MPH. Or somewhere about that speed. Plus, it was 150% not torqued properly.
You do not need a full controller to do what is needed. Most people are running too aggressive tuning for the Factory transmissions in our car anyway. We helped do a bunch of testing on the BETA before the XHP flash was released for our cars. I can send you a file if you would like. Just need to...
This is easy as the above person did not mention a few things about what was seen on IG. The car was also in a very hard side impact when this happened. AKA a "CRASH". I then went on to explain to the owner that if it is over torqued, the factory Cast bracket does not take much to crack in this...
With the modded M2's, Caymans, and M4's. You will need speed to compete. We were at Thunderhill 25 Hour race with our Street turned GT4 build. With close to stock power the Truspeed boys and there H.O. Caymen 4.0L were pulling us like a FreightTrain. We were better optimized chassis wise. But...
Could very well be an issue with sensor Resistance due to the climate change. I have seen this on this car now a few times. Very sensitive and I am sure that everything is fine. I would jounce the float (push down on it a few times) and then reset everything. Lock the car for 15 minutes with key...
This is total preference and use here. Most all have stated the obvious. Much more goes into it after you factor what you prefer.
Square is definitely about longevity/feeling and neutral car setup then anything.
This is honestly crazy that people will jeopardize themselves to make their car look cooler.
I have seen two or three roll bars tops that are engineered correctly. Anything bolted to those stamped sheet metal parts that get pinch welded.... better go to church if you are putting your car on a...
It is the lack of responsiveness and the hardware is cheap. If I was smart enough. I could most likely learn some C language and or other, buy the hardware for 10 to 20 dollars on Digikey and make my own controller that worked. It is way too inconsistent. That is the truth. I will not trust a...
If you flash the factory map back. It should pass. We tested with a car 8 months ago and it was fine. The new software that the state has can detect the slightest change in coding. We tried modifying two tables. It caught the changes right away.
This release has been in the making for some time now. There is even a new PI controller being produced. Which I am grateful for because the useless Reflex systems are such a draw of the hat. Meaning... who knows if it is going to work or not.
The time spent from the BM3 guys is going to far...
