Hey does anyone have any suggestions for getting the glue off the pads if you haven’t tracked the car IE heated up the glue? Any suggestions on how to separate the pad from the piston? Thanks
Get yourself a JB4 and put it in limp / Valet mode when you need to. I figure its insured they are insured I can track via Toyota or an Apple AirTag on the keychain. Life is short enjoy your kick ass car and keep it moving.
I just had the recall done and had the LIMIT….I think this is a indication of a reset…..Once it detected the first speed limit sign it was fine and Went away.
Not bad just very meticulous take your time and plan on 1-2 hours maybe more if you are drinking beer. LOL….if you need some pointers or help let me know.
I just did this today. I used an old clay bar the key IMO is to freshen the clay bar by folding it in on itself then pushing it firm enough that the gauge cluster says you need a key to start. Then pull very firmly and quickly. Mine popped out the first attempt. Good luck
it actually looks much better in person! its very nice indeed. Vivid Racing made this one and there are all kinds of mods that can be made to customize it however you want.
Nah the one I have didn't fit either. I think maybe we need to replace the volume knob but haven't figured that out yet. It definitely doesn't pull off.
Porsche glues theirs as well. I used a putty knife to get it started then they came off pretty easy. Thanks for answering about the vibration pads thats good to know. Will probably knock this out this weekend.
I will admit I've scoured pretty good but can't seem to find the answer to my questions about the swap. I believe the stock units have vibration pads but the videos I've watched people either aren't putting new ones back in or maybe the replacement units don't need them????? not sure. Does...
