Sorry for late reply, but after switching to 5w40 and only filling oil to about 6.7 quarts instead of a full 7 i dont experience the smoke anymore
  2. Wheel bearing ?? Vibration/noise coming from front end. Need help pls

Car has 49k miles I just swapped new ps4s on the front and noise is now gone. I haven’t gotten an alignment in the 7 months I’ve owned it but definitely on the list to do soon. So tires definitely was the cause if the noise. I think I can still feel a slight vibration but it’s good enough for now
  3. Wheel bearing ?? Vibration/noise coming from front end. Need help pls

Okay thank you, I have 2 new ps4s coming tomorrow so I’ll do what you said to check the bearings while I’ve got the car on the lift. Thanks
  4. Wheel bearing ?? Vibration/noise coming from front end. Need help pls

Between speeds 20-60mph there’s this rotational vibration I feel throughout the chassis. You can hear it and feel it. In the one video (it’s hard to tell) but there is movement in the wheel when I pry against it. And in the second video you can hear the noise in the backround. Sounds like a...

Okay I just made all the changes to duty bias and ff. Map 2 and took a log. Still seems to be cutting throttle as around 4500 rpm. https://datazap.me/u/austin101400/log-1746834174?log=0&data=1-4
  6. SUPRA ULTIMATE B58 JB4 GUIDE AND LOG REVIEW (V1)

Okay sorry I forgot to mention I’m automatic idk if that matters but yeah. So set the firmware to beta? And then I’m confused on how to change ff

  9. Can't measure oil - have updated oil pump (WAA03)

Yeah it’s going to show the updated part number because that’s the only one you can order now. Being a 2020 you most definitely have the outdated oil pump
  10. How do you get the Oil Level Check to work

The new pumps part number supersedes the old one so dealers can only order the updated one. I didn’t mention anything about online stuff even though I knew the oil pump would fix it I just let them do there thing.
  11. How do you get the Oil Level Check to work

The earlier models used an oil pump with plastic internals. Updated one has metal internals. Early signs of failure are being unable to measure engine oil and eventually oil pressure issues and then worst case total oil pump failure. There’s a lot of similar posts on here with the same issues...
  12. How do you get the Oil Level Check to work

What year? If it’s a 2020 or 21 I’m gonna say you need the updated oil pump.
  13. Smoking from exhaust

04/13/25 Oil pump is installed and oil level procedure correctly goes through. Install was only a day 1/2 so not bad. Whining noise at low speed is also gone. Thanks to all who responded to forum
  14. Smoking from exhaust

Update 4-7-25 Oil control valve didn’t fix issue of course. They said they sent all the info over to Toyota and they approved the oil pump. Of course back order no eta but so were the level sensor and control valve lol. So now oil pump is ordered and just waiting for the text to have it...
  15. Smoking from exhaust

I understand what you’re saying but it just seems like an unnecessary gamble, to me at least. If they try to replace another part after the control valve I’ll get more involved
  16. Smoking from exhaust

Yeah it is what it is. I just don’t want to be that guy that tells them what needs to be replaced. I’m trusting the process
  17. Smoking from exhaust

Update 03/02/25 Dealer replaced oil level sensor, still didn’t fix issue. They say next step is the oil control valve which of course isn’t under factory powertrain but luckily I have an extended that’s covering the level sensor and hopefully the oil control valve. Really hope the next step...
  18. Smoking from exhaust

Just got a call the oil level sensor is covered. So once that’s installed and still doesn’t fix the issue I’m sure oil pump will be ordered next
  19. Smoking from exhaust

Yeah they said oil pump would be covered but before they jump straight to oil pump they need the do the smaller stuff first (oil change and oil level sensor) to rule them out. Advisor said he will call my extended warranty shortly to see if level sensor is covered.
