MKIV owner here no plans to get current MKV but if a 6MT more powerful version comes out it might peak my interest.

Yes and it's understandable somewhat most of the MKIV owners would have gotten the in house Toyota version even if it was close to double the cost but at that price Toyota wouldn't move many units.

Supra is best bang for buck in those comparisons.

A lot of the negative reactions are by fans who have never actually owned any generation Supra or a 2jz swapped car for that matter. It seems a lot of them just repeat what others say in the age of social media there are many followers and sheep. Most of them wouldn't be buying it either way...
