I think they'd have to go on a more square wheel setup with 19x9s with a 32mm offset, but am not completely sure. Looking at wheel prices, even with a good deal on winter tires, the wheels themselves may still make this not worth my while.

I can get a pretty good deal on a slightly used set of 4 255/35R-19 Pirelli Winter Sottozero Serie II Run Flats, but wasn't sure if it would be a good idea to go with a square vs staggered setup. What are everyone's thoughts and past experiences, if any, with doing this? Thanks!

I'm not even sure why this bothers me. I guess I would have expected a hands-free trunk release given all the other features this car has.

Thanks for all the replies. I couldn't find any settings for the door locks that seemed to impact this. It's good to know it isn't just me. It looks like the rubber knobs the hatch rests on might have some adjustment to them. I'm going to see if they have any effect.

I've noticed that if I use the door switch to open the hatch (boot lid) and then close the door, it re-latches. If I leave the driver's door open, I can still open the hatch. I assume that closing the driver's door is creating enough pressure to force the hatch up and back down, but wanted to...

Yes. I just removed mine yesterday as well. It's much easier to access the phone without it and I'll probably end up using that space more for storage than charging the phone anyway.
