Are these solid CF or plastic with a layer of CF on top? I Can't tell from the screenshots and hesitate when plastic is used in a "carbon fiber' product.

I was told it is permanently affixed. Not hinged so you can't remove to clean underneath.

Decent like the others out right now. I am waiting for one that incorporates some of the roof line shape into it rather than flat all the way across. Perhaps a bit of indentation in the middle and flare at the back on each side. Hard to describe.

Another option would be leather or alacantra cover the original piece. Tempted to try that on the front shiny black part.

Search amazon for black usb cables to help hide things. I use the braided variety. Also, sticky back velcro works wonders for hiding things like this in out of the way places. It isn't permanent, and is easy to remove device if you need to occasionally. I hide garage door openers this way.
