^ Ha! I agree...
But the point being though that those rivets are just as easy to remove and replace...
That said, I may give the plastic pop rivets a try and let you guys know how it works out when installing the splash guards...
FYI for those who recently purchased ZL1 splash guards...
After sending them a list of concerns / suggested improvements earlier today, I just got this reply back from ZL1 and it appears as if they sent out wrong screws for both front and rear...
Luckily I didn't get around to installing mine...
Got my ZL1 flaps in the mail yesterday and here are my observations....
The instructions received are still backwards (even after I sent them feedback a few days ago and corrected the instructions which I posted earlier in this thread) and it's the rear that gets the 3 standoffs and long silver...
Yeah, I figured most everything I changed would have to be restored through the backup files anyways....no big deal...
But honestly I can't see myself wanting to re-activate that faux exhaust noise through the sound system ever again!
Very noticeable....Once you remove the faux engine sound overlay it becomes quite obvious how noticeable it was...
And it's so much better without it...Made a noticeable improvement to the quality / clarity of music during the drive...The low end in particular is much less distorted now...
I have the following coded:
Auto On/Off memory - on
Active Sound Design - off
Start up warning - off
Backup camera warning - off
DIM Screen Brightness - on
Just used Bimmercode to deactivate the "Active Sound" that adds engine noise to audio system and it made noticeable improvement to the quality / clarity of music during the drive...The low end in particular is much less distorted now...
I saw that someone had tried this in the Wind Noise thread (see pic below)...This may fix the problem but how would you modify this approach to make it more aesthetically appealing?
I think perhaps the primary reason why the current fix has evolved into what's being offered now (see below) is...
