I'm really hoping when they say "a little longer" they mean the press event taking place in September!
Also is it unheard of for a production prototype chassis to be tested with a different motor temporarily? Put miles on the chassis with a cheaper more readily available engine for testing...
I would imagine I am not the only person in the market for a new sports car and debating between multiple cars / paths......so lets just respond to them saying they can still be entertained by the mirrors threads, interior threads, exterior rendering thread etc. etc.
but lets answer the "what...
uhhhh this is so annoying lol
I got rid of the GT4 cause the payments though affordable just didn't fit my needs for the near future (family starting). So I opted to get rid of the payment, drive around in a nice daily (2018 V6 Camry) while I save up some money for a cheaper but still fun...
Have you combed through the other threads on the forums?
Pretty much your entire thought process has already been leaked and everything but officially confirmed by Toyota heh. Supra is to have a b58 design engine (rumored cgi, rumored toyota developed head) and documents released have already...
I'm not a huge Supra / Toyota history buff like some others here, but it seems the A80 original release and intent was nothing close to what it has become.
I'm not sure people can compare the upcoming factory version of the A90 to the current state of the A80. The A80's current persona isn't...
If you have a HUD there really is no reason for a steering wheel like that
at this point.....with all the specs, interior quality / supplies used i don't care anymore. The "toyota unique" car mentality is a no go.
Now I'm more like....well if you are going to share parts keep it up so the...
is the need for an iron block just for heritage?
cause there are some modern aluminum blocks holding some serious power.....latest example is the new aluminum 5 cylinder Audi made....that engine has been on the market for less then a year and is already pushing 750-800hp stock block. As far as...
I think the biggest current competitor to the Cayman is the BMW M2 whether you look at the old N55 powered version or the upcoming S55 powered version. Im not sure about the N55 version, but Im guessing it weighs close to 3200 - 3300 pounds and has roughly 360hp. Most reviews I have read and...
I agree with the half glass full peeps. I think with all the decisions they could have gone with (use old emblem, create new modern design letters, fuse the two etc etc.) they struck a nice balance of old retro and clean modern....
Now come next year if Toyota has a good showing / dare I say even win the GT level Le Mans race with the new Supra against the Porsche 911RSR, Audi R8, BMW M8, Ford GT etc etc........then holy lord that is reason to get excited! I think the lower devision of Le Mans is now the only interesting...
Do you think the result would have been the same if Audi or Porsche were still participating in LMP1?
I don't keep up on LMP1 all year, so Im not sure if Toyota was racing a completely upgraded car or the same, but I fully expected Toyota to win given they are the only manufacterer backed team...
350 does seem lower than expected especially for something branded "Supra" (I understand the original supra was released as something completely different than what it has turned into)
but then again....compared to its other sports car the 86 and that power output.....I wouldn't be suprised if...
Wasn't there some information floating around somehwere that when the two prototype cars were lapping that the "Supra" demolished the "Z4" and Toyota had to help BMW figure out why their car was so slow? I understand one is being developed as a pure sports car and the other is a luxury...
Is no one under the assumption that with the new engine / possible 48v system / carbon fiber roof / sup 3000lb etc etc. that this new supra is looking like an 80k+ car?
has anyone heard or confirmed ballpark figures of 55k?
