My dealer in the midwest said they haven't yet received any allocations, but politely implied he wasn't surprised. Basically a "don't worry, yet..." and to just be patient.
I still have a sliver of hope ;p
There are two other dealers in DMV who called me and confirmed that they have an allocation. They both were built(Both dealers receiving CUL Grey) on the same date as mine and its on the same vessel to NY Port as I post this.
I declined the offer from both dealers because one asked $7000...
...to get a vin. My sales guy detailed the allocation/distribution process in the US for me. In the last allocation round, 5 A91s are coming in, seems like the 5 guys mentioned with a VIN in the first post are those ones, but who really knows. Just need to wait for the next round of allocations.
...knows shit; b) They can take orders but there's no allocation, specs or pricing details yet; c) There is no ETA for anything, even pricing/spec information; d) July is when MY23 cars started rolling off the production line.. but these weren't for us anyway as there are no allocations!
So...
...on mine as I found all the MSRP ones were already sold.
At this point, all the MSRP dealers have a waitlist and while there are some allocations still available, they were asking for markups that went from 10k-25k. They have been reaching out to me daily asking if I'm still interested...
In the US, only the special editions get the red badge. In some other markets its all of the manuals.
Edit: Also more allocations should be dropping over the next few days. Fingers crossed.
Other than its front, I just think this iteration is just ugly af. It's under powered for 2023 and still only a front wheel drive. Incidentally, I notice a bunch of us seem to have gone from/are going from a Type R to a Supra.
Specs are officially announced. Now I just need the 14th of September for GRC pricing and allocations.

kinda, Longo Toyota is #1 for volume and they never charge above MSRP. Still making a killing on profit and they get way more allocations since Toyota knows they’ll move those cars.
Ppl are anticipating the release regardless of not getting allocations in order to hold their place in line. Some dealers take deposits before an allocation and some don't. Luckily my dealer didn't take deposits until they received and allocation, I was on top of checking with my sales person...
I am in Austin with a deposit for a 23 manual, when I asked the dealership about other dealerships in the country getting allocations they told me none of the gulf state toyota dealerships have gotten anything yet
...way I’ll be curious how this plays out because Are These still built to order or allocation? Either way it’s going to be brutal, ordering a new one to spec with shortages and stuff OR trying to find the same car on allocations when they’re probably all spoken for all over let alone on Puerto...
I guess we'll just have to wait and see lol but Turbulence Grey was THE color I wanted, then CU later grey, and now I'm settling with Stratosphere blue
...3.0 manual, or 3.0 auto. No an option on the 2.0 though.
I'll keep an eye on it, but someone has already provided the first batch of allocations to Canada and the information matches. CU Later is available for all those trims, and A91 only coming in CU Later and Burnout.
Only reason I even...
Friend of a friend that works at the dealership. Told him what I was looking for, he watched the allocations and got lucky enough to grab one that’s pretty damn close to what I wanted. Has cf mirror caps and locking wheel bolts but everything else is spot on.
...down in early April for an A91-MT, but I let them know I would also take a manual premium in Stratosphere Blue or Renaissance Red.
Hoping we are both able to get our 23’s allocated soon! I can’t wait… and definitely envious of other forum members that have confirmed allocations at this...
I’m first in line at a dealer in Iowa and it’s also been crickets with regards to a confirmed allocation.
I suspect we may need to wait a few more weeks (or months) before we hear back.
