actually maybe I might be confusing matters a bit. it wasn't the carpet on the front that got tangle with the cutter, probably because I used the tape as suggested, it was the foamy/fluffy material behind the panel where the hole will eventually be.
I made a right balls up of it as I knew I would.
when I drilled a pilot hole the carpet wrapped itself around the drill bit so I had to cut that off. when I cut the 2" hole the carpet wrapped itself around the cutter and actually yanked the carpet off the original glue positions. it wasn't a...
Where did you get it tuned? When you say sound, did you get a new exhaust too?
I'm still in two minds about whether or not to spend money on this car or just get rid of it in 6 months.
I just had a very strange conversation with Toyota GB Head Office. Apparently it's up to each franchised dealer to decide what documentation they give to a customer. Surely that makes no sense.
So i finally got a user manual through the post. Just the book. No wallet for it to go in.
@Browndog The invoice had the SKU OM99UU60U. Maybe you can use this to get your dealer to order one.
nice update. are you going to keep the stock exhaust?
I was on the UK MK5 Supra Facebook group for a bit, which I think is run by Garage Whifbitz as they advertise on it a lot. I didn't realise they were really big in the mk4 scene.
I'm trying really hard to like it, but I just can't.
It's not 100% the car's fault though. I think it's a combination of the poor service from the dealer and that I really wanted an R8 V10, but couldn't afford one.
I'm gonna give it another 4-6 months and will save more towards a deposit for...
Mine took a couple of days before it let me enter my car details. I think the dealer has to "register" your car first. It would be a bit weird if this was only available to premium cars.
If you like the interior quality of the Mercedes and Lexus models you've listed i'd recommend spending a bit of time in the Supra to make sure it's to a standard that you'd expect for the money. The Supra is absolutely amazing to drive, but to me it doesn't feel like that special a car. Maybe...
Thx for your help tadda (Tom?).
This is where I got my stuff for anybody else in the UK wanting to try out this mod:

I gently pushed down on the mesh from the top and it separated. can I use this to stick the 2 parts together?

@tadda, in the video above the silicon is applied to the circular grill plate. so it'll end up going onto the carpeted sub enclosure when you put the grill back on. am I right in thinking I need to put it in between that circular grill plate and the spoke part of the grill cover? thx
Edit: I...
