Just wanted to update the thread with my experience.
Dealer replaced the oilpump (15100-WAA03). Went in on the 16th of Sep, was ready on 2 Oct.
Also had the comms module reflash done, so yay, new software throughout.
Dealer said mine was the first one they had to replace the oilpump on...
Pump the tyres up, charge the battery, top up the gas, drive it for 1000klms and change the oil and filter as you normally would. It's a car not a space ship. It will be fine.

I’ll take a picture of my trunk once it’s packed. It’s amazing what can fit. I bring an ez up and 2 chairs too haha. Literally can’t see out of the back window and the woman has a bunch of junk down by her feet. Just have to be a bit creative.
A similar situation happened years ago. In 2021, BMW issued recalls for 19'-21' Supras regarding a software that was causing damage to the oil / vacuum pump that was affecting the power brake assistant.
Meanwhile, my car got the free software update that prevents further damages to the oil /...
On Monday I’ll be dropping my 2021 off at the dealer to get the oilpump replaced.
My ability to check the oil level has gone from frustratingly inconsistent to not working at all. My indie BMW shop scanned the car and it was reporting high oil pressure. 21k miles.
Hoping they will “diagnose”...
ah, that's a relief. Doesn't sound like it will be too competitive for Sunday. I was trying to figure out how i can squeeze cargo for 2 and track day stuff in this tiny ass trunk lol. I'm bringing a helmet, air pump and torque wrench. maybe a small thing of oil.
I was extremely happy with my 2022 A91 CF UNTIL I took it in for my yearly or is that 6 month oil change and state inspection sticker. It was a Toyota Corporate Executive auto before I purchased it with just over 10,000 miles on it. I was still considered the first owner title wise. I put on...
Check your oil level via an OBD tool, the iDrive method does not allow you to see small changes in your oil level.
Typically if your oil read on iDrive is failing at ~20% that's been indicator of oilpump issues.
99% oilpump, not sensor. Just got this done on mine, pressue was off, no codes or anything, not burning/leaking oil, just couldnt measure oil, approved for warranty work with iagnose by toyota. I had extended warranty on the one i have (got it used). Heared if its left alone it may cause engine...
...an Oil Pressure Too High code.
I live in Nashville, so not in a typically cold climate that I have read can affect the shitty plastic oilpump gears in the 2020 cars, but it was cold here this past winter for a bit.
I am leaning towards having the pump replaced anyway with the newer...

I know others have had this issue but I am curious of others'...
My previous 2020 has done this a number of times. Had oilpump replaced and it still did it a few more times. My newer 2023 has never done this. Not sure if its just anecdotal but that's my experience with this.
Im in the same boat. I was able to do two track days this year, but my funds are tied up in my master suite addition to this house until January :(
I will live vicariously through you all here. Live the dream... for us....
