I have been having this issue on my modified 2020 Launch Edition Supra for awhile. Currently has 27k miles, and is tuned on ecutek. My oil level measurement never passes 15-25% regardless of the oil temperature, and I looked back to an old log while I was getting tuned; the peak oil pressure under WOT is 94-95psi. I read that it should be around 80psi. However, I have never gotten an Oil Pressure Too High code on the Ecutek app.
I live in Nashville, so not in a typically cold climate that I have read can affect the shitty plastic oil pump gears in the 2020 cars, but it was cold here this past winter for a bit.
I know others have had this issue but I am curious of others' experiences. Did anyone have success replacing just the oil level sensor or the pressure flow valve? I definitely don't think I would be covered under any warranty since my car is tuned. Is it something that I could just live with since it has not thrown any high pressure codes?
I am leaning towards having the pump replaced anyway with the newer version, but I know it will be pricey.
Thoughts?
