If thatās the case, sign me up for the base haha. I donāt need leather and all that crap! Iām more worried about performance anyways. Suspension and tires sound enticing, but those will probably get swapped with aftermarket anyways.
I wonder, since the engine at Goodwood was the refined iron block motor, what would be the difference between the different trim levels for the I6? Would it soley be luxury items and stuff of that nature? I canāt see different trims of the I6 making more power than the base, if thereās only one...
I re-read this article anytime i find myself losing hope lol.
I used to own an 86, and I loved it for what it was. I have faith that Tada will do the same with the Supra. I just hope that Toyota as a company doesnāt screw around with Tadaās dream of what he seeās the A90 as.
I really hope this is the case, and that what weāve seen at Goodwood is indeed the ānewā and refined B58 to Toyota spec. I canāt see Toyota developing an all new motor or sucessor to the JZ in total secrecy, and not have it be available upon its initial release. I mean if this is the case, why...
I wasnāt aware that they were planning on showing the engine at Goodwood. Toyota had to have known that people would have recognized the motor right away as a B58. Asides from what A70 has told us, has Tada or anybody officially announced that the Supra would be based on the B58? Not saying A70...
I can afford it. Iāve been anticipating this for quite some time. Itāll more than likely be a weekend warrior for me, as Iāll still have the WRX for DD. I just wish Toyota would stop playinā around and spill the beans already.
GIVE ME THAT NEW JZ IRON BLOCK 400+ HP SUPRA, TOYOTA!!
So weāre thinking that the iron block motor is the engine Toyotaās been secretly working on?
Man, the anticipation is killing me. Iām ready to ball out, Toyota! Just give me something fast :spaz:
Youāre absolutely right. Thatās why I mentioned that ultimately this would purely be a business decision. Which is cool and all, but my only gripe with this is that if theyāre truly building a successor to the JZ, it should be offered at the get-go. Iām not complaining about the partnership with...
If this is the case, I really hope that Toyota advertises it somehow. Itās wishful thinking, because I know thatād be a poor business decision on Toyotas end.
āHey, Guys! Hereās the new Supra. Itās awesome. You should totally buy it! Oh yeah... we have the real badass Supra coming in a couple...
THIS. I was just a wee little lad when Fast and Furious, and NFS Underground came out. I admire and love the A80 because of these two things, but never fully understood why the Supra was such an acclaimed car until I got much older.
