I have been trying to order these for about a month now. Dealer confirms that supply is low, but every order is cancelled because I don’t have a final edition VIN. has anyone else been able to get these delivered?
I have a 2026 GR Premium and they are not on my car. It must only be on the Final Edition. I will check into ordering this from my local dealership in the Canadian prairies.
I was able to remove the eBay cqicqi ones without much issue. The black adhesive came off the gloss plastic just fine as well.
I tested up to 100 mph and had no issues with windbuffetting. I am quite pleased with it.
Like, the M-Style caps seem to do like 50-60% as good of a job as wind deflectors at reducing buffetting (it's not great, but it's totally bearable under 70 MPH for me with these mirror caps), but when I use the full sized buffet kits (such as the Armaspeed ones) it makes the buffeting worse...
I called up my local Toyota dealership and asked them to put in an order for the OEM windbuffetting kit that comes on the 2026 model. I had no issues putting in the order with a 2024 model year VIN.
I received a call back confirming he found some but they were technically discontinued so...
...a non-issue); no synced climate control (What the actual fuck Toyota); Average sounding stereo system and (in most variants) windbuffetting - both of which are user fixable.
I should probably mention that the manual transmission isn't the best I've experienced. Is it bad: No. Is it bad...
...consider, but at the top of my list would be:
MHD (or similar) OBLink Adapter - Essential for Bimmercode/Diagnosing issues.
The EBay WindBuffetting Solution - Best price/looks IMHO.
Decent Floor mats - You'll probably get stock ones included but they're pretty shit.
Blitz front strut bar -...
I put AMS windbuffetting kit on my car by like day 3 of ownership, and haven't given it a single thought since. It was $100 and looks OEM. There are many other options, cheaper too.
Not an excuse for toyota, but it is such an easy fix.
...considering getting one.
While on the freeway, I rolled down the windows and was surprised to find that there was absolutely zero windbuffetting. I was thinking "How can people be complaining about this? It's perfectly fine!". But, after I parked the car back at the dealer, I noticed...

I installed the above pictured CF M style aftermarket mirror caps a week ago and they reduce the windbuffetting. I previously installed the AMS CF windbuffetting kit above, before that. Both are easy installs. I found the AMS pieces reduce but do not eliminate the Windbuffetting by themselves...
Thanks, I got 2/3! car is in the shop as of this morning for ceramic tint all around and my rexspeed windy things are in the mail! I think I’ll powder coat the stock wheels this winter and go back on with some decent 275/305 NT555 or similar. Tire suggestions for street with occasional drag...
I found some 8.99 Amazon plastic pieces after watching a YT Video for the buffetting fix. Super easy 3M adhesive and even upwards of 80mph no buffetting. I've seen wayyy too many people buying some wild stuff for this.
...I'm just like... you seriously couldn't put it in longitudinally? I'm also sick of the crying about the "fake engine noise" and the "windbuffetting". For the former, you can disable it with a snap of a finger, and for the latter you can get some parts for cheap online to fix it.
Point is, I...
I appreciate the suggestions! While I am certainly going to check the rudimentary things, there is some information here that is great. My one gripe is with the advertised torque numbers relative to what has been "dyno'd" for the 2.0. From the information available online, the torque is well...
...both in same/similar scenarios I suppose.
2.0 is lighter. As mentioned much less aftermarket support...
Yeah, watch out for the windbuffetting noise. It's the cars achilles heel. ?
Try the Sport button. Customize individual for your liking. Use manual and paddles if that's your thing...
