  1. GR Supra to enter Australian Supercars series in 2026

Launched today at the Bathurst race weekend. A bit more detail on why they used the Supra. Sounds like the partnership has links to Toyotas work on efficient ICE tech. A mutually beneficial arrangement for sure.

  3. GR Supra to enter Australian Supercars series in 2026

True. And given that all of these supercars use a control chassis, there's not a lot of actual Supra in there. I mean, it'll be a V8. It's just a gorgeous billboard. I reckon if anything it might be the opposite. I really don't think Toyota are bringing out a new Supra anytime soon. MR2 or...

  5. V8 MKV Supra will compete in Australian Supercars series

An interesting move from Toyota given that the MKV is supposed to end production next year. Still, can't wait to see another one of these in full track guise. And that exhaust note at the end of the video! I hope that's legit. Everything to know about its entry in 2026...

  7. Supra Ownership Longevity

Only 4 weeks in but will be keeping this one for as long as I can find fuel for it. With strict emissions laws kicking in, manuals dying out and the future of cars as we know them looking bleak, this will be a keeper. I already have a few regrets from selling certain cars in the past, not going...
  8. Dedicated Fun Car

I've only had mine a couple of weeks and yeah, the all round torque does reduce the need for constant shifting in the MT, but that doesn't mean you can't still do it. I'm 46 and was looking for a comfortable yet fun car to do weekend mountain getaways in. I've owned WRX's and an RX7 but wanted...
  9. Is there such a thing as to order a 2025 through a dealer?

I ordered one at a dealer last November, was given an ETA, received a build allocation, ship number and 10 months after ordering I received the keys. No funny business. Maybe it's different here in Oz, we also don't get dealers putting ridiculous markups on them. It's basically the same price...
  10. The Official AUSTRALIAN Thread

My car finally landed today. 10 months and 6 days from order to delivery. My YouTube history is a time capsule of pain, but I made it.
  11. The Official AUSTRALIAN Thread

Wow, yeah, hadn't considered that. Looks like the 2025 target is now 210g/km and Supra sits at 255g/km. Looks like we really could be in the final days.

So I guess you pay the LCT based on delivery day? Hey congrats! I'm about 4 weeks away from collection. That's a good point re the LCT. I'm assuming the LCT is calculated at time of delivery / contract completion? Did you ask the dealer for a revised contract?
  13. The Official AUSTRALIAN Thread

Thanks all. Yeah, as I suspected, it's a matter of pushing the limits within reason and crossing your fingers. Agree though, OEM core is highly preferable.
  14. The Official AUSTRALIAN Thread

Any Aussies in here have experience with ADR's and swapping out the steering wheel? I'm finding the ADR's painfully confusing. Would really like to swap the Supa's wheel with one of the BMW GX series wheels and airbag. There are a few people/businesses offering this. Or at very least, keep the...
  15. Car Arriving this week - Adelaide

Even if you have the cash, borrowing is often a better option as long as you do something smart with the cash. Markets have been going ballistic over the last 8 months. Getting a 'free' car by generating better returns on the cash than what's being paid on the loan interest has actually been...

Looks like a revised ordering process is on the way https://www.drive.com.au/news/toyota-major-change-orders-gr-yaris-returns/
  17. The Official AUSTRALIAN Thread

Received an update today on a car ordered on 1/11/23. It's already been built and is on the boat, due in port 6/7/24 and with the dealer ready for delivery early August. That would put it at 10 months from order to delivery. Note, i still haven't received a single confirmation email from Toyota...
  18. What did you do to your Supra today?

KUHL have both a widebody and regular front bumper. The regular one looks kind of OEM but adds some sharper angles where the stock one has softer edges. I especially like the look from the side profile as the bottom lip sticks out a bit more. There's a vid on YouTube of the red KUHL supra with...
  19. Speedometer correction with Bimmercode?

Yeah, I've got an XC60 here in Aus that is calibrated about 4% out. The 10% max is correct as per ADR (Australian Design Rules). I don't mind the speedo offset. With speed cameras here becoming so prolific and the buffer between the speed limit and a ticket being drastically reduced, it's...
