Btw, for any supra fan awaiting a comeback for quite some time and recall this concept, glad to see the designers borrowed this rear quarter design and made it kind of work on the current mkv:
Has only a few of us been watching bmw b58 engine milestones? It's an amazing engine tuning wise. The ecu seems to be difficult to hack which has halted progress beyond 600whp but a JB4 tune, extra fuel TBI, larger turbo, and air filter, you're looking at over 500~600whp. This is the tuning...
Anyone know what they mean by" The concept's chassis features lowered front and rear suspension using original equipment (OE) components." ? I assume they mean the control arms are still factory but how can components of a race-car's suspension really be OEM??
If the reveal is a GT500 car it will likely have a race spec 4 cylinder engine so we won't get a sense of what the real car has to offer, both in weight, interior, or drive train. Hopefully the reveal will be a gt3 or gt2 variant.
I'm starting to think the rear spoiler is active but operating differently than the ft1. Maybe it's already in the 'up' position as we're seeing it in all the photos but covered in the camo to make it seem like its the body, but folds back at an angle as opposed lowering into the body, ie ft1...
@A70TTR Have the designs throughout the car been finalized or are the still tweaking fenders, lights, dimensions, etc? I guess I'm not worried about the power or weight that much as I am about the drive train and looks. Thanks for the subtle hints throughout the forum.
Actually now that I look at it, more like a AM Vulcan front end. None the less, hard to find aftermarket aero that is functional, and not over the top for just about any car but fun to imagine a subtle change here. For me, I would wait a year to purchase if it had the looks to capture my heart...
Perhaps a gt3 version, or aftermarket front end will provide a longer 'face', something more in line with the new vantage so the body doesn't look as squashed. I know a few of you have some serious photoshop skills but here is a 3 minute paint job:
The front 3/4 angle looks great though the rear 3/4 shot depicts the car quite differently. If you follow the lines along the side window relative to the ground, the rear end of the window sits 'down' in the front view, while the rear view the end of the window sits 'up' it seems. The window...
How are all the US autos able to put out large GTs in the $40-60ks with great performance but the Toyota could only pull off a tiny compact sports car at that price point ( high trim camaro, challenger, mustang, and entry level vette).
