Is there anyway to reprogram the sport display in idrive to show something more useful than hp and tq? Like some of the things shown in secret menu, or even a lap timer? Does anyone know about the BMW vets having success customizing idrive display?
Don't know for sure if just a straight pipe will get you there like it did for 90's turbo cars... Gtr guys seem to spit flames often though, but I suspect it's just running rich. They have a higher ceiling on the stock turbo
Yeah... Find someone to tune the als ignition timing and add fuel... Not great for your turbo btw... You'll get deposits in the long run... But does look cool every now and then.
What do you mean by two step? The car has a launch control mode, which is classic two step from what I remember.... If you mean anti lag then get with a tuner and figure out if the pops and burbles are legit als or just noise and can be retuned into classic anti lag... What's the goal?
I'm assuming none of the foam that's under the stock engine cover.... Do you have weight comparisons?
I realize this more aesthetic than anything else..
Supra is fine as a track car. It's honestly pretty tame on track and offers a good amount of feedback as you approach it's limits. As long as you don't hero drive out the gate there's no issue. Run what you got...
I would address mods differently.
Brakes, fluids
Tires, basic weight reduction
Suspension
Wheels, aggressive tires
Power
Aggressive weight reduction
As stated by others, you'll do yourself more favors spending money on track time than mods to start.
I mean what's your experience?
Seriously if it's your first day ever don't mess with anything yet. Yeah you'll overheat brakes but you'll learn limits of your car and yourself... When you raise that threshold you have to be ready to deal with more.
Just my advice.
