  1. Will FT-1 concept follow the FT-86 timeline?

Shame the car wasn't coming out justa bout now. Gas prices and interest rates are low, the economy and stock market are steaming along and car sales numbers are breaking records. Would be a great environment to launch a sports car which I view as discretionary spending. Hopefully in 2 years...
  2. Production-Spec Acura NSX to Debut at the Detroit Motor Show in January

It better bring something interesting to the board seeing how long it was in development and testing!
  3. Hybrid Supra Rumors & Chatter / B58 hybrid

If it's a hybrid that performs as good or better than the competitors and is priced competitively then I wouldn't mind actually. It'll look better than any hybrid ever made (that's not a supercar) and have Toyota reliability after all. LF-LC concept was presented as a hybrid so really wouldn't...
  4. New Supra and Z4 will share platforms

Good point about the price but lots of the 6 series price must be the luxury and technology amenities since it sits pretty high up in the BMW heirarchy? Also the article says that it's a modular platform, which the Toyota-BMW platform is supposed to be. Article also says it's for 3-series and...
  5. 2015 Mustang Thread

Saw reports that claim starting price will be about $53000. That'd be a bargain price for all that HP/TQ. Anyone test driven one yet? Curious to see if they're much improved quality and driving experiene.
  6. Toyota FT-1 3D Printed Keychain

Lol all this hyping up the ft-1 from Toyota and if they don't produce it it will be the biggest mind f**!$ ever!
  7. News: BMW FT1 Supra Project Moves Into Concept Stage

Interesting thanks i did not know that. I wonder how a Toyota-BMW joint platform will affect the design if at all.
  8. News: BMW FT1 Supra Project Moves Into Concept Stage

The article says that it has moved onto the concept stage..... isn't that the stage we've been in since January? :dunno: Has something changed?
  9. Mustang vs FT1 Supra

Toyota is capable of building quality interiors (Lexus) so a $50-60k Supra should for sure have a nicer interior than a Mustang.
  10. Toyota FT-1 concept & A90 Supra design dissected

Downsize it and tone everything down by 25%. It's time to move from pure Calty design to something that the engineers (and yes some of the bean counters) have some input into. Since the FT-1 concept is not for sale I want to see what I could possibly buy. As for design changes, I would...
  11. 2020 Supra Transmission Chat - Manual, Dual Clutch, or Auto?

I searched around and saw one quote say that the BMW M3's DCT is around ~60 pounds heavier than a manual. Don't know how much difference that makes though. Tt's not unsprung weight like wheels/brakes which would have performance penalties.
  12. 2020 Supra Transmission Chat - Manual, Dual Clutch, or Auto?

There's a lot going for DCT and some of the best automatics these days. They can deal with high power/torque applications as well as manual. They are more gas efficient than manuals. They achieve better magazine test numbers. They shift faster than any human can. Getting harder each year to...
