Is anyone concerned about the walnut blasting that may have to be done after some high mileage? Direct injections suck! Thanks to the government for their strict emissions on automobiles.
Wish they had implemented D-4S somehow...
Everyone so worked up over the horsepower figure, overlooking the torque of this new Supra, 365 ft/lb. That's a lot compared to most sports cars in the range, especially NA ones. HP is speed, TQ is what you feel.
Any Inline 6 > any V6. Inline engines and flat 6s sound phenomenal and the power is linear as you progress thru the rev range. Inlines are intrinsically balanced and superior, compared to a V6 (packaging aside). Best application for a pure sports car for power and feel. Thank you for sticking...
I noticed that the A90 will have the ZF8HP that holds 500 Nm of torque. I also noticed that BMW used the 700 Nm version for their 335D. Logically that was the only choice in options from ZF; 500 Nm, 550 Nm, and next is 700 Nm etc.. The 335D made up to 630 Nm (plenty of extra room for a little...
Why do you drive sports cars? :hmm: It should be for the feeling above all else. The badge is irrelevant if the car 'feels' like a Supra (I6, RWD, Turbo). Names, logos are irrelevant when it comes to truly enjoying a sports car. Yes some auto manufacturers can make better cars than others, but...
If Tada San retired 7 years ago, how was he able to help build this car? Didn't this car take 7 years to build? I'm curious as to how that retirement works lol.
Do you guys think there will be an in-depth article for the Toyota-BMW collab. for these cars like there was for the BRZ/GT86? I loved reading the engineering dynamics and problems between the two companies that occurred along the way. I thoroughly enjoyed this piece linked below...
Has any crash testing been done on the new Supra? I haven't seen or heard anything on that. I'd like for it to have awesome crash ratings. Safety is important these days since people don't pay attention on the road anymore.
