Mine, a totally legit source told me Akio Toyoda inspected my engine and engraved his signature somewhere. Can't see it with out taking the car apart but it's 1/1
Oh yes they definitely will. With a good alignment the 555rii hooks nicely, and I'm just running the 285/35/19 size on stock rear wheels. They are probably overkill for what OP is making power wise, but for e50 tune or more i'd recommend.
This exactly - the amount of options may vary depending where OP lives, but yeah. Also look for independent shops that specialize in BMWs or wheel/tire specialists that are experienced with alignments on performance cars.
That's what I was thinking, in order to get the most benefit it may need a retune. Really the only reason I'm considering it is the exhaust I was looking at has a 3.5" version, so it would be easy to do with switching out or modifying a downpipe.
Afaik the SN rating has to do with being better for newer catalytic converters. Personally I would say stick with the OE or equivalent for a stock car with stock tune. Once tuned and making more power and with a less restrictive cat it makes sense to go 5w30 or 5w40 with LL01 or LL04 approval.
I've been searching around trying to find an answer on this. I'm thinking about getting a different exhaust that has an option for 3.5" connection at the downpipe, so naturally looking at getting another downpipe I can have match that to eliminate the factory restriction there.
The car has a...
I've got a 2020 base that has the driver pkg (or whatever it's called) that has blind spot, auto cruise, parking sensors. Also has the upgraded sound and carplay.
Personally I don't miss having a HUD (gimmick display) or heated seats (live in FL). I like the Alcantara seats better anyway. The...
Since you're looking for something that can do track days also probably one of the 200 treadwear tire options you mentioned should work. They will definitely have more grip than the PSS when warmed up. You could go up a size or 10mm on the width for the oem wheels without worrying about rubbing...
Get some BMW HT-12 (green) coolant and mix 50/50 with distilled water to top it off. I had the same thing happen last year, and haven't found any leaks or had an issue after filling it back to max.
Clean that filthy engine cover while you're at it OP lol
With the white car you can get away with doing a lot of bold colors, so my vote is a bright yellow or orange if you want to do something different.
I have a 3.0 base as well but my car is red, so I'm going to either do a black or white (or just stay silver).
That's cool to hear it handles ok after alignment. I may consider doing this too, I was hesitant about lowering the car after seeing how much it squats under acceleration on the dyno with stock suspension.
Right doing the Femto route and getting a custom tune would be the next step as far as making more power. You can do a cat-back exhaust if you want to change up the sound but don't expect it to add any noticeable hp/tq.
