I would try charging the battery either with a trickle charger or just by running the car and attempt again.

Is the unlocker powered properly? I kept my car on a trickle charger for a bit before attempting it.

I would honestly take the brake dust and know that there’s a chance the braking distance might make a difference. There’s a huge difference between hitting something and coming really close to hitting something.

I’m noticing a slightly slower engine startup on cold starts with the ngk 96206. No check engine light. Should I be concerned?

I have the 5000tl and it fits perfectly. If you were to extend it by 3 inches on each side then it might fit but best case scenario it will be hard to get it down in there.

I know some of the kits disable the parking brake functionality. Does this?

Well it seems like the tape route makes the pad stick to the pistons so it shouldn’t move around even if there is a bunch of wiggle room to the sides.
