Hard to say, but I doubt it - since it's the same engine. What is fairly safe to say, is that whatever R&D Toyota participated in over the development period with BMW... they certainly didn't do it with the B58 revision found in the MY21/22 models. Realistically, they probably didn't do it with...
That one bothers me quite a bit as well. I guess I should say "it bothers me alot". These days I just spend my evening news watching counting the number of casters and guests that start every sentence with "So..." - apparently that's the new "Uh/Um" - I wonder who they got that off of. ?
I...
Definitely possible, although I don't think the actual sensor changed between the models. However the head (and more importantly gasket and oil paths), as well as the tune did - so I think that's the more likely culprit. Possibly a bit more blow-by, possibly some tiny leaks, possibly a bit more...
This is how "audiophile" companies sell mega-buck cables, overpriced power strips, and magic stones (which increase HP as well if you put them on your engine's "CPU"). If you look for differences in almost anything... the brain is amazingly capable of finding things on it's own...
As long as you don't mind bright colors, they are readily available under the street names "M&M's" and "Skittles" and are over the counter at most convenience stores. ?
As far as habit forming however... I think there is a high risk... and they can definitely be a gateway drug to the harder...
I guess it depends on what you mean by "miss". If I had the garage space, time, and money to keep 10-12 cars maintained, insured, and licensed... then I would love to be able to take my previous rides out from time to time (except the RC-F... that porker wasn't worth the gas it guzzled IMO)...
Nope, I'm a 2020 (Sept 2019 build) but had a bit of hood to fender misalignment. Hood to bumper seems good, and originally I thought the crossbar had a rattle but it was just the cover not being completely clicked into place. I've got a ton of rattles in other places I'm slowly tracking down...
That sucks... had something similar happen to mine when they were charging the battery... chipped to primer on the fender edge. Barely noticeable with the hood closed unless you know where to look, but irritating regardless. Need to get around to hitting that with the touch-up paint.
Unless BMW has a secret chip fab somewhere that no one knows about - I'd guess production will be cut to a similar level (or even lower) than their own cars. After all, every manufacturer is waiting in this regard and Toyota has to replace HU's under warranty as well now... so that definitely...
Same. They gouged some of the paint on the inside of my fender somehow when charging and re-initializing the battery. I shudder to think what would happen if they were actually intentionally banging on things. LOL.
There's a bit of gap/misalignment on several of my panels... not...
Don't you mean "where we're occasionally given permission to breathe - provided we've had all our shots and are carrying our hall pass"? OT I know, but I'm not feeling our air is any better than our northern neighbors... and quite a bit more smoggy on some days actually. :rolleyes...
All I can think of when looking at this thread is how much more insurance on an MKV is going to be eventually if this keeps up. I guess on the upside... at this rate they really might become collectables (at least the non wrecked ones). ?
Hopefully that's the case, but based on the way the setup is configured, and the curves posted in their marketing... it's exactly what I predicted (and feared) the results would be. Fixes some issues but exacerbates others - so definitely not worth it if accuracy (not just bass extension) is the...
I'm planning on getting as many as possible... so that the repair costs will eclipse the cost of getting a new Varis CF hood. That's about the only way I'll convince myself to blow almost $6K on a mostly cosmetic accessory. ?
Seriously though, I've gotten a 4oz bottle of touch up paint and...
I'd say do some very careful masking (they make pick and place adhesive masking films for airbrushing that should work pretty well). Once masked you could paint and clear it to the color you desire. For best results probably use some of the cheapest from ebay, etc. as trial runs.
A really...
