The 2JZ has a compression ratio of 8.5.
So to be simple if you want a car has more than 700hp so take a block that will not explode when you increase the bost of the turbo:popcorn:
For me already a air filter perf with a decata will be good. all the parts are visibly available to do it except the muffler :dunno:
For a huge prepa piston connecting rod would surely be necessary unless you find piston rods bmw with a lower compression ratio mount on a 4 cylinder for example...

But it’s same engine code for x5 g05 40i missing the reversion number I think some parts change between x5 and Supra :dunno...
Swap not easily done but A90 swap more faster than gt86 ;)
Many components should be developed engine fitting collector y pipe ... but some firm produce faster these kit.
Don’t forbid the 40i engine have compression ratio at 11. Without internal change 40i engine is inferior for sure.

model 30i -> price 20i + ~ 10k
model 40i -> price 20i + ~ 20k
the 40i + 2k stage 2 will do a little more than 420ch.
if you take a 20i you have a good base chasi especially new. For 10k you put a 2jz engine parts adaptable you have more than 700ch.
