A part that almost nobody talks about is the rear wing.
In the FT-1 concept there is a retractable spoiler (on demand or according to speed/downforce needs).
The test mules show clearly the duck-tail styled rear boot that will probably house the retractable spoiler.
This photo leaked in the Internet recently.
Don't know its origin, but looks like a more "normalized" FT-1.
The absence of the big side vents in front of the rear wheel arches differentiate it from the FT-1's we have seen.
The photo must have been taken in Japan as the tow truck has Japanese...
A car that was an icon back in the 90's, had a 3.0 inline 6 sequential twin turbo and a prsence that gave goosebumps, CANNOT AND MUST NOT be anything less than a 450hp+ beast today with cutting edge technology and top performance.
The FT-1 concept matches this.... But the production test mules...
Leaked just few hours ago are the official shots of the new BMW X3.
The dashboard layout that features the same Supra-like rounded LCDs for RPM and KM/H indicators is shown here at full function, as well as the big LCD in the center.
Also the steering wheel of th new BMW X3 M sport is identical...
The new Supra should have been a relatively affordable true performance concept at the 400hp-450hp range and 70,000 EUR price range, with a 3.0L 6 cylinder twin turbo engine.
Below it the new generation of the GT86 with finally a Toyota 2.0l cylinder turbo around 225-250hp and a price tag of...
Toyota made the biggest mistake by making the new Supra based on the joint BMW platform.
The best (realistic) option in my opinion would be to take the LC500 platform, that is amazing, has the MKIV Supra lines, and develop it under Toyota and GRMN as Supra MKV.
Gazoo Racing is already pushing...

I didnt do it according to the production proportions as my previous renderings.
This was just my idea of a more "conventional" production FT1 based Supra i would like to see.
Could have looked like this...
A production high end GRMN version Supra based on the FT1 concept.
- Production spec headlight
- Production spec hood (no transparent glass for engine)
- Production spec rear trunk lip spoiler
- Production spec mirrors
- Production spec fenders
