The fact that it is let to come out that an M version of the Z4 will be introduced later on, gives me the feeling that the same will happen with the GRMN Supra.
I see two versions of each car introduced at their debut (4-cylinder 2.0 turbo and 3.0l inline 6 twin turbo with M Sport and GR...
NISSAN did it with the GT-R.
All it takes is a boss like Carlos Ghosn and a passionate team like Mizuno's.
Take the GT-R heritage and philosophy and build a modern 911 killer. Half price.
Same could have happened with Toyota and the Supra.
Last two BMW Z4 generations had several wheel/options according to package and engine.
Same philosophy will continue , so i guess that the Supra will have the same footwork.

This is what appears to be the new BMW Z4's main dash display.
Don't know if the interface will be similar in the Supra as well.

Yesterday the BMW M2 Competition Ppackage was unveiled.
With the M3/M4's 3.0l straight six twin turbo engine rated at 404hp, don't be surprised to see it powering a GRMN version of the Supra as well.
Regarding the side "vents" i have noticed that they are positioned on the doors and NOT where the door closes and meets the rear wheel arch.
So its purely a design element with no functionality (rear brake cooling duct).
The interior has a touch that differentiates it a bit from the BMW giving it a Toyota aura, which can only be a good thing in terms of character and design. If combined with BMW's high quality materials and assembly it will be one of the best sportscar interiors.
The dash display and the...
I told you so about the DCT...
It couldn't have been an old auto box since its a joint platform with BMW and transmissions will be among the shared parts.
In the leaked documents its been referred to as AUTO , thats why it was misinterpreted by many.
It will be BMW's DCT found in the new Z4.
What i have concluded from all this process since the end of production of the JZA80 until today, is that "anticipation was much higher than the actual interest.
Rumors and myths, intentional or not, used a whole movement, a whole generation to wait the new Supra as the "Holy Grail" of the JDM...

The problem is not the actual length, but the design profile that makes very intense the feeling of the short Z4 silhouette especially in the rear end.
The rear windshield extends so much back that the rear trunk is almost absent.
This is the major design issue that will always remind that the...
An aftermarket wide bodykit consisting of front wide fenders, front bumper with wide center opening eliminating the F1 cone, a rear trunk that will have the same design lines but extending further to cover the taillights, with embedded trunk spoiler extension, and covering on the other side some...
