I'd personally go with Active, its the more proven brand and they are using the best quality cats on the market (GESI).

the power is dependant mostly on the cat, as you mentioned in your post, the active autowerke will handle up to 850whp Unfortunately, most brands do not reveal which cat they are using, so it's tough to know.

bimmerlink does not help with emission, and clearing the code does not either.

you should not notice a difference in MPG, but now that the car sounds better, you are more likely to push it more which decreases the MPG

I know you can get OBD splitters, but im not sure how reliable they are.

Any high-flow intake will work, preferably with a heat shield and an inlet. MST is an excellent option if you are okay with the wait, as they are almost always out of stock.
